and accordingly ye said Crapper and Holland went down to a poynt of the said Land Called South Point and there the said
Holland deposeth that he did see a Ceader tree marked with sixteen notches upon the Southermost side of a small
hammock of woods growing on the said point being blown up by the roots & somthing removed from the place as he
this deponant did suppose where the tree had Grown but further this deponant saith that he sa the Hole in the ground
that he believed the afd tree had Grown and further this deponant saith not

    The same day Edmond Crapper sen.r aged fifty Six Years or thereabouts Came and deposeth that about
twenty Years ^past^ he and the afd Holland being together in Company went to seek and to Search for the first bounder ^of Genezer^
and on the Southermost side of South poynt near a small hammock of woods growing on the said point as
he this deponent was Looking about the same found a Ceader tree marked with Sixteen Notches which was blown
up by the roots and this deponant further saith that by the hole he see in the grownd where he thought the said
tree had been removed from a small distance he this deponant saith that the place as he thought the afd
tree had grown was about 27 yards to northward of where the said Holland deposeth and further this deponant

and avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c  To John Scott Southy Whittington Robt
Geddes and Samuel Handy all of Somerset County Gent Greeting know ye that we have appointed
you or any three or two of you to be our Commissioners to Examine Evidences on behalf of
a Certain John Sheldon of the County afd in relation to the bounds of a tract of Land Called
Mount Hope &c  Wee therefore require you or any three or two of you at some time and place
as to you or any three or two of you shall seem Convenient you meet on the afd Land Called mount
Hope (you first having taken your oaths on the holy evangelist of almighty God according to
act of assembly in such case made and provided) and there cause to come before you or any three or two
of you all such Evidences as shall be to you or any three or two of you nominated by the said Complainent
or deft if any and that you or any three or two of you to Examine them upon theire Corporall
oaths to be by you or any three or two of you Administred on the Holy Evangelist of almighty God
in the presents of the Complainant or deft if any touching the truth or Remberance of their
knowledge or any thing that may relate to the cause afd and that reducing the severall depositions
into writing you send the same together with this our Commission u^n^der your or any three or two of your
hands and seales to us to our County Court of Somerset with all Convenient speed  Wittness Robert
King Gent Chief Justice of our said Court the ninteenth day of June in the twenty second year
of our Dominion &c Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and thirty six

Now here at this day to witt the seventeenth day of November anno Dom One thousand seven hundred &
thirty Six Came here into Court John Scott and made robert Geddes two of the Gentm Nominated in the afd
Commission and made return of the Same Commission thereof Endorsed with the Severall depositions annexed as
