234 hundred thirty and six afd at the parish afd in the County afd within the Jur of this Court in and upon a certian Thomas Hargis of the same County planter in the peace of God and of the same Lord proprietary then and there being with force and arms an assault did make and the same Thomas then and there did beat wound and evilly treat so that of his Life it was greately despaired and other harms to him then and there did to the great damage of the same Thomas and against the peace of the said Lord proprietary that now is his good rule and Government &c Whereupon the same attorney of the said Lord proprietary prayeth the advice of the Court here in the premisses and that due process of law in this part against the afd Nehemiah may be made to answer unto the same Lord Proprietary of and upon the premisses &a Thereupon Command was given to the Sheriffe of Somerset County that he Should take the said Nehemiah Holland if &a to answer &a and afterwards to witt the seventeenth day of august anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred & thirty Six before the Justices of his Lordships County Court at Somerset now here held at Dividing ^Creek^ in the Same County Came the Said Nehemiah in his proper person according to a Certain Recognizance by him and his Security before acknowledged and had a hearing of the Information afd and saith that of the premisses afd he is guilty thereof &a Whereupon all and Singular the premisses by the Court here Seen heard and fully understood &.a Therefore it is Considered by the Court here upon him Imposed for and by occasion of the trespass and assault afd whereof in form afd he is Convict ten Shillings Curr.t money of Maryland and that the said Nehemiah Holland be taken to Satisfie his said Lordship of the fine afd &a Whereupon the said Nehemiah Holland is ordered to give good security for his good behaviour and appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at Dividing Creek the third Tuesday of November next &a Thereupon the said Nehemiah Holland with Benjamin Holland Late of Somerset County planter his security both present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord Proprietary in the Sum of tenn pounds Sterling Each of their goods and Chattells Lands and tenements severally to be made and Levied to the use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors If it happen that the said Nehemiah Holland do not make his personall appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek in the Same County the third Tuesday of November ^next^ and do not answer unto his said Lordship the Lord Proprietary of and Concerning such matters and things as should be then and there objected against him on his Lordships |
