    Bail by him and his security before acknowledged &a    thereupon the said Signey Browns appearance
    is recorded and he and his Security accordingly discharged &a

          Whereupon the said Signey Brown is ordered to give Security for the payment of the Several officers
Fees due by Occasion of the premisses on the Indictment and recognizance afd   thereupon Joseph MccClester
Gent present herein court in his proper person undertook for the said Signey Brown to pay the Severall
Officers their Fees due as aforesaid on the Indictment and recognizance afd &a

                                    The Jurors for the Right honourable the Lord Proprietary
that now is for the body of Somerset County afd upon their Oath do present that
John Mecuddy late of Coventry parish in the County afd Joyner the thirtieth day
    of may in the Year of Our Lord God Seventeen hundred and thirty five at the parish afd in
    the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court in and upon a Certain Mathias Taylor in the
    peace of God and the Same Lord proprietary then and there being with force and arms an assault
    did make and the said Mathias Taylor then and there beat wound and evilly treat so that of his
    Life it was greatly despaired and other harms to him then and there did to the great damage
    of the same Mathias and against the peace of the said Lord Propry that now is his good rule and

                                                             On the Backside of the foregoing bill of Indictment it was
    thus endorsed vizt Ignoramus p Josa Caldwell foreman

          Whereupon Came here into Court the aforesaid John Mecuddy in his proper person and
    prays that his appearance may be recorded to save himselfe and security from a Certain recognizance
    of bail by him and his security before that time acknowledged &a    thereupon the said

Ordered by the Court here to give recognizance for his appearance before the Justices of his Lordships
County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of august next to give
Evidence on behalfe of his Lordship the Lord proprietary against a Certain John Roberts &a

               Whereupon the said Daniel Jones present herein Court as afd acknowledged himselfe Indebted unto
his Lordship the right honrble the Lord proprietary of the province of Maryland in the Sum of five
