in Common form  thereupon the said Thos Lambden took the oath of the peace against the said
Nathaniel Brittingham and thereupon it is ordered by the Court here that His Lordships
warr.t Issue to the Sheriffe Commanding him to take the said Nathaniel Brittingham and
him Carry before the next Majestrate in order to give security for his good behaviour and
appearance at November Court next to be held for the County afd &a


Joseph MccClester high sheriffe of Somerset County gave bond for his Shrevially with Levin
Gale and Mathias Gale Esq.rs his Securitys which is approved of by the Court &a

                  To the Worshipfull the Justices of Somerset County now in Court
sitting     The Petition of George Layfield Humbly sheweth that
your Petitioner is seized in Fee of a tract of Land called cow pasture
Scituated on the sea board side in Somerset County on the western side of Assewaman Bay the
bounders of which some what uncertain  therefore your Petitioner prays that Comissioners may ^be^
appointed to Examine Evidences and take depositions for the perpetuating the same According
to the Act of Assembly in such case lately made and provided  And your Petitioner as in
duty bound shall ever pray &c                  George Layfeild

         The petition afd being read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation
    thereupon had where^fore^ it is Considered by the Justices here that a Commission
    Issue to the afd George Layfeild as by the petition afd is praid and that James
    Rownd John Miller Joseph Miller and John Tull all of Somerset County Gent be Commissioners
    and Execute the Same Commission according act of assembly in Such Case
    made and provided &a

James Houlston of Somerset County planter Came hereinto Court in his proper
and Craved the Surety of the peace against a Certain Saul Townsend
who had beaten and abused him which is granted him he making Oath in
    Common form  thereupon the said James Houlston took the oath of the peace in Common form
    against the said Saul Townsend &a  Whereupon the Sheriffe of Somerset County is Commanded
    Immediately to bring here into Court the Said Saul Townsend to find Suretys of the
    Peace for his good behaviour and appearance at November Court Next &a afterwards in the
    same Court Came the said Saul Townsend with Joshua Caldwell and Benjamin Langford both of
