227 Edward Rownd of Somerset County Gent his security both present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the afd William Brazer the Younger in the full and Just Sum of Twenty pounds Curr.t money of Maryland of their Severall bodys goods & Chattells Lands or tenements to be made and Levied to the Use of the said William Brazer his heirs and assignes If it happen that the said James Mumford do not during ye term afd Learn his said apprentice the trade of a weaver and to read and write and Likewise provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing mete for Such an apprentice to have & wear during the term afd &a
the full term afd during which term the said John Brazer his said master well and faithfully shall serve his secrets keep his Commandments Lawfully and honestly every where willingly he shall do and in all things as a good and faithfull apprentice shall demean himselfe towards his said Master and all his during the term afd In consideration of which Service the same James Mumford present herein Court in his proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in manner and form following that is to say that he the said James Mumford during the term afd shall and will Learn his said apprentice the trade of a weaver and to read and write and Likewise provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing sufficient for such an apprentice to have and wear during the term afd &a Thereupon the said James Mumford is ordered to give Security for to Comply with the Covenants afd Whereupon the said James Mumford with Edward Rownd of Somerset County Gent his security both present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the same John Brazer in the full and Just sum of Twenty pounds Curr.t money Each of their bodys goods or Chattells Lands and tenaments severally to be made and Levied to the Use of the said John Brazer his heirs or assignes If it happen that the said James Mumford do not during the term afd Learn his said apprentice the trade of a weaver and to read and write and Likewise provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing mete for Such an apprentice to have & wear during the term afd &a Roach John Negro Girle Called Jenny is adjudged by the Court here to the age of ten Years &a Thomas Lambden of Somerset County Gent Came hereinto Court in his proper person and prays the Surety of the peace against Nathaniel Brittingham which is Granted him he taking the oath in |
