parish afd within the Jurisdiction of this court did Committ fornication with a Certain person to the Jurors afd unknown and did permitt the Same unknown person then and there to have Carnall knowledge of her body and to begett then & there a bastard Child on the Body of her the Same Rachel to the high displeasure of almighty God to the Evill Example of all others in such Case offending Contrary to the peace of the said Lord prory that now is his good rule and Government and against the act of assembly in such Case lately made and provided &a Test Race Clark On the Backside of the foregoing Bill of Indictment it was Endorsed Billa Vera Edmond Hough foreman Thereupon Command was given to the sher of Somerset County that he Should take the afd Rachell Trueman if &.a to answer &.a and afterwards to witt the fifteenth day of June anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred & thirty Six Came hereinto Court before the Justices thereof at dividing Creek the afd Supposed Rachell Trueman but forasmuch as it doth appear to the Court here that there is no such person as Rachell Trueman &a Therefore it is Considered by the Court here that the Indictment afd & the proceeding thereon be quashed & that the afd Supposed Rachell Trueman be quiett &a & goe thereof without day &a Robert Mitchell negro Girle Rose is adjudged by the Court to be of the age of ten years this term &a Coll George Dashiell is allowed One thousand pounds of tobacco she bringing in the best peice of Linnen according to act of assembly in Such Case made and provided &a Anna Bella Mitchel allowed Eight hundred pounds of tobacco she bringing in the second best peice of Linnen according to act of assembly in Such Case made and provided &a Cap.t Edward Rownd allowed six hundred pounds of tobacco she bringing ^in^ the third best peice of Linnen according to act of assembly in such Case made and provided &a Upon the petition of Robert Carney a poor Indigent person for somthing to be allowed him for his Support in his poor weak Condition &a upon Reading of the petition afd the Justices do agree with Coll Robert King to find and provided for the said Robert Karney all Such necessarys both in Cloathing and provisions or any other necessarys as may sufficient to Suport the said Carney in this his weak Condition untill novem Court next and that he ye said King should then be allowed for the same &a |
