Know Yee that we have appoined you or any three or two of you to be Our Commissioners to Examine Evidences on behalf of a certian John Wollford of the County af.d in relation to the bounds of a tract of Land ^Called^ happy Addition lying at Manocan in the County af.d and Wee therefore require you or any three or two of you at some time and place as to you or any three or two of you shall seem Convenient you meet on the af.d land called happy Addition (you first having taken your oaths on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God According to act of assembly in such case made and provided) and there cause to come before you or any three or two of you all such Evidences as shall be to you or any three or two of you Nominated by the said complainant or def.t if any and that you or any three or two of you Examine them upon their Corporall Oaths to be by you or any three or two of you administred on the holy Evangelist of almighty God in the presents of the Complaiant or def.t if any touching the truth or Remembrances of their knowledge or any thing that may relate to the cause af.d and that reducing the severall dipositions into Writting you send the same together with this our Commission Under your or any three or two of your hands and seales to us to our County Court of Somerset with all Convenient speed Wittness Robert King Gent Chief Justices of our said Court the twentieth ^& first^ day of march Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and thirty two On the backside of the foregoing Commission it was thus Endorsed vizt These are to Certifie that Mess.rs Joseph Gillis and William Jones of Goose Creek two of the within Commissioners were before me the Subscriber one of the Lord Proprietarys Justices of the peace for the County of somerset qualified to Execute the within Commission by taking their Oaths on the holy Evangelist of almighty God according to the directions of the act of assembly of this province in that Case made and provided as wittness my hand this 23.d day of october annoq Dom 1733 Certified P William Stoughton afterwards to witt the fifteenth day of June anno Dom One thousand seven hundred & thirty Six before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset now heh here held at dividing Creek Came Joseph Gillis and William Jones two of the Gent mentioned in the above Commission and made return thereof to the Court here with the following depositions vizt October the 24th anno: Dom 1733 Then was Cap.t William Planner brought before us the Subscribers he being about sixty five years of age and Gave his corporall oath on the holy evangilist of almighty (God) |
