    parish aforesaid in the County afd planter within the Jurisdiction of this court in and upon a Certain
    Robert Hill in the peace of God and of the Same Lord proprietary then and there being with
    force and arms an assault did make and the said Robert then and there did beat wound evilly
    treat so that of his Life it was greatly despaired and other harms to him then and there did
    to the great damage of the Same Robert and against the peace of the said Lord Proprietary
    that now is his good rule and Government &a
Test Robert Hill
                             On the Backside of the foregoing Bill of Indictment it was Endorsed
    in these words following viz.t Ignoramus p Josa Caldwell sher

       Whereupon Came hereinto Court the said William Selby Jun.r in his proper person according
    to a Certain Recognizance by him and his Security before acknowledged and prays that his
    appearance may be recorded and he and his Security discharged    thereupon the said
    William Selby Jun.r appearance is Recorded and he and his Security accordingly discharged
       whereupon the said William Selby Jun.r is ordered to give security for the payment
of the Severall Officers Fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd on the Indictment & recognizance
afd   thereupon Philip Selby of Somerset County Gent present here in Court in his proper
person undertook for the Said William Selby Junr for to pay the Severall Officers Fees due as
afd upon the Indictment and recognizance &a

the Lord proprietary that now is for the body of Somerset
County afd upon their oath do present that Robert Hill
late of Coventry parish in the County afd planter the fifteenth
day of Aprill anno Dom Seventeen hundred and thirty five at the parish afd in the
County aforesaid within the Jurisdiction of this Court in and upon a Certain Philip Selby in
the peace of God and of the said Lord proprietary then and there being with force and armes
an assault did make and him the said Philip then and there did Beat wound and evilly
treat so that of his Life it was much dispaired and other harms to him then and there did
to the great damage of the said Philip and against the peace of the said Lord Propry his good
rule and government          Test    Philip Selby

                               On the Backside of the foregoing Bill of Indictment it was thus Endorsed viz.t
