May the 14: 1736 Personally appeared before me the Subscriber one of the right honrble the Lord proprietary his Justices in and for the County of Somerset the above named William McClemmey and made oath upon the holy Evangalist of Almighty God that the above acc.t is Just and true and that he hath not rec.d any pte or pecll thereof nor any satisfaction or security for the same to the best of his knowledge Jno Scott It being made appear unto me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices for the County of Somerset that the above named Thomas Gray ^is^ run away and hath Carry'd of most of his effects out of the County these are to request you to Issue attachment on behalfe of the above named William McClemmey against the effects of the said Thomas Gray According to the directions of the act of assembly in that case made and provided for doeing this shall be your Warrant Given under my hand and seal this 14.th May 1736 Jno Scott To M.r Thomas Hayward Cl Somerset County This Pursuant to the act of assembly in such Case provied and in Obediance to the abovesaid Warrent was Issues the following attachment &a Somerset ss Charles absolute Lord and proprietary of the provinces of Maryland and avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &.c To the sher of Somerset County Greeting we Command you that you attach any of the goods Chattles rights or Creditts of Thomas Gray late of Somerset County March.t if they shall be found in your bailywick to the value of seven pounds seven shillings and eleven pence Currant money of Maryland and thirteen hundred pounds of tobacco and when you have the same attached or any part thereof the same in your Custody safe keep so that you have the same before our Justices of our County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of June Next then and there to be Condemned According to act of assembly to and for the use of a Certain William McClemmey unless the said Thomas Gray by himselfe or his attorney shall appear and answer unto the said William McClemmey in a plea of trespass upon the case &.c According to Law and that by good and Lawfull men of your bailywick you make known unto the person or persons in whose hands you make the same attachment that he she or they be and appear before our Justices of our County Court to be had as af.d to shew cause if any he she or they have why the same goods Chattles rights or Creditts so attached in his ^her^ or their hands ought not to be Condemned and Execution thereof had and made According to act of assembly (in such case made and provided) if to him her or them it shall (seem) |
