Indictment afd above mentioned to be Stolen ^amounting in the whole^ to three pounds ten shillings Curr.t money of Maryland and
that the said Jeremiah Lilley be whipt at the publick whiping post with Twenty five Stripes on the Bare
back well Laid on untill the Blood appear and that he stand Immediately in the pillowry half an hour
and that he be taken &.a and thereupon as to the Corporall punishment afd Command is given to the
sheriffe of Somerset County that he do thereof Immediate Execution according to the Judgment afd
Rendered by whiping the afd Jeremiah Lilley at the Publick whiping post with Twenty five Strips
on the Bare Back well Laid on untill the blood appear and by sitting him in the pillowry Immediately
One halfe hour and afterwards in the Same Court Came the said sheriffe and made return that he had
done the Execution of the Judgment afd as to the Corporall punishment afd he was Commanded &a

Somerset County ss.t    The Jurors for the right honourable the Lord proprietary that
now is for the body of Somerset County af.d upon their oath so present that
Jeremiah Lilley late of Stepney parish in the County afd Cordwainer the twenty second
day of may in the year of our Lord God seventeen hundred thirty and six with force and arms
the Mansion house of Alexander Fullerton at the parish af.d in Somerset County af.d in
the night time to wit between the hours often and eleven after the noon of the same day
(a certain negroe nan the slave of a certain George Parris then in the peace of God and of
the said Lord proprietary in the same Mansion house being) feloniously and buglarily did
break and enter and one razor of the value of one shilling current money of Maryland
one pair of Gloves of the value of ^one Shilling like Money One Speare Guns lot of the value of^ Six pence like money and one white Linnen shirt of the
value of ten shillings like money of the goods and Chattles of the af.d Alexander Fullerton
in the said house then and there being found then and there feloniously and burglarily
did steal take and carry away contrary to the peace of the said Lord proprietary that
now is his good rule and Government &c
    Test Alexander Fullerton            One the Backside of the foregoing Bill of Indictment it was thus Endorsed
    viz.t Billa vera Samuel Wilson foreman

          And afterwards to witt the fifteenth day of June anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty
Six Came hereinto Court the Said Jeremiah Lilley In his proper person before the Justices of his Lordships
County Court of Somerset and being by the Sheriff set to the Barr &c   thereupon the said Jeremiah
Lilley is Committed into the Custody of the Sheriff of Somerset County thereto Remain untill delivered
from thence by due Course of Law and that he have him before the Justices of the next assize oyer &
terminer and Goal delivery to be held for Somerset County at dividing Creeks the first tuesday of September
next to answer &a
