Peppers creek and the overseer requirs your petitioner to keep a bridge about 20 feet long one his
own cost and Charge and your petitioner is not willing for this reason for when the road went
overreow bridge thare was about 50 feet to keep good and now about twenty besides there was a
long cossway and I have allways been willing to assist either in teem to draw the sleepers or to find
plank or slabs to keep the bridge good but because your petitioner has got a good mill to his
Neighbours satisfaction in chief and some body has got one not to such satisfaction makes this uneasiness
and complains to cap.t Smith against your petitioner without reason for if the publick
think hard to keep this bridge good for them selves well may your petitioner think hard to keep it
for the publick your petitioner prays the overseers warrent may not extend tell it meets the
division for the overseer will put his hand to the nearest post of the mill and say my warrent
extends here and in duty your petitioner shall ever pray

       the petition afd being read and heard and fully understood  wherefore it is Considered by
the Court here that Capt John Smith and Mr Joseph Miller goe to the afd William Burtons and
give such directions about the Clearing of the said road and making of Bridges over the said Saw mill
as they shall think fitt and they to make their report to august Court next &a

Ordered that Capt David Wilson be overseer of the road and Clear from the edge of the marsh where
Harry Landan lives up to the main Road that Leads a Cross the mouth of the neck between back Creek
and Annamessex and also that he Clear all bridle paths from every hous in the said Neck to the afd Road
Leading Out of the afd Neck &a

Ordered that Aaron Tilman be overseer of the Road from Annamessex Dams to the north side of Back Creek
wading place and from the end of Samuel Wilsons ditch along the road thro' the Swamp towards Pocomoke
till he come within three quarters of a mile of Stevenses Branch meeting with Giddion Tilman overseer
on Pocomoke side and that he have Wm Turpin son of John Edwd Sheckdells and Samuel Longs
hands for Clearing of the said Road and all the Labourers or Male Taxables in the neck from the Widdow
Listers Bridge to annamessex Dams and from William Turpins son of John all the hands up the south
side of Back Creek to the head thereof &a

Ordered that Coll Kings Limittes extend further than Usuall to the South side of Back Creek wading
place and that he have all the hands in the neck and that Liveth between Back Creek and treading
Branch for the Clearing of the roads he is overseer of &a

William Waters discharged from being of Overseer of the Roads till further orders &a

Ordered that Coll George Dashiell be overseer of the road from Thomas Gillises to John Disharoons
and from his own house into the afd Road and from Mr John Handys Ferry to John Christophers and from
the Ferry to the afd Disharoons and from the said Ferry to Richard Stevenses &a
