168 William West of Somerset County Came here into Court in his proper person according to a Certain Writt of attachment against him Issued for not appearing at November Court last to answer his not burning of tobacco according to act of assembly in such Case made and provided and for as much as the said William West had nothing to Object that was Materiall wherefore he had not burnt his Tobacco according to Law but was willing to pay his fine for the same &.a Wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that the said William West pay unto his Lordship the Lord Proprietary for his fine for and by occasion of the premisses afd to twenty Shillings Curr.t money of Maryland &.a and that he be taken &a Robert Denniston of Somerset County Weaver Came hereinto Court in his proper person according to a Certain Writt of attachment against him Issued for not appearing at november Court Last to answer his not burning of tobacco according to act of assembly in such Case made and provided and for as much as the said Robert Denniston had nothing to Object that was Materiall Wherefore he had not burn his tobacco according to Law but is Willing to pay his fine for the Same &.a Wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that the said Robert Denniston pay unto his Lordship the Lord Proprietary for his fine for and by occasion of the premisses afd to twenty Shillings Curr.t money of Maryland and that he be taken &a Furnous Odear of Somerset County planter Came hereinto Court in his proper person according to Certain Writts of attachment that had Issued against him and his now wife Lately Called Rose Tillman for not appearing last November Court to answer their and Each of their not burning of tobacco according to act of assembly in Such Case made and provided and for as much as the said Furnas Odear had nothing to Object that was Materiall wherefore they had not Burnt the tob.o according to Law wherefore It is Considered by the court here that the afd Furnis Odear pay unto his Lordship the Lord Proprietary for his fine for and by Occasion of the premisses afd Twenty Shillings Curr.t money of Maryland Likewise that he pay unto his said Lordship for his wifes fine for and by Occasion of the premisses afd Twenty Shillings Curr.t money of Maryland and that the said Furnas ODear be taken to satisfie his said Lordship of the fine afd and the Severall officers Fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd &.a Whereupon the Sheriff of Somerset County to witt Joseph MaClester Gent by Joseph Merrill his deputy present took Charge of the said Gurnas Odear accordingly &a Benjamin Shanks of Somerset County planter Came hereinto Court in his proper person according to a Certain Writt of attachment against him Issued for not appearing at November Court Last to answer his not burning of tobacco according to act of assembly in such Case made and provided and foras much as the said Benjamin Shanks had nothing to object that was Materiall wherefore he had not burn his tobacco according to Law but was willing to pay his fine for the Same &.a Wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that the said Benjamin Shanks pay unto his Lordship the Lord Propry for his fine for and by occasion of the premisses afd Forty Shillings Curr.t money of Maryland and that he be taken &a |
