John Nelson Chose
Mr James Martin as
his Guardian
John Nelson an orphan and son of Hugh Nelson late of Somerset County Blacksmith
dec.d having arrived at full age according to Law for the Chosing of his Guardian
Came hereinto Court in his proper person and prays that he may be admitted to Chose
                   James Martin of Somerset County Gent as his guardian which is to him granted &.a   thereupon
the said John Nelson present here in Court as afd makes Choice of the said James Martin ^as his Guardian^ accordingly &.a

          Whereupon the said James Martin is ordered by the Court here to take into his Care and Custody all
the Estate of the Said JOhn Nelson both reall and personall and Likewise that he give Security for to
Comply with the Guardian Ship aforesaid &a

           Whereupon the said James Martin with William Lane of Somerset County Gent his security both
present herein Court in their proper persons and acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship
the right honrble the Lord proprietary in the Sum of forty pounds Sterling Each of their bodys goods
or Chattells lands or tenements Seperately to be made and Levied to the Use of the said John Nelson his
heirs and assignes   If it happen that the said James Martin do not Comply with the Law in relation
to Such Guardianships as aforesaid and do not deliver up unto the said John Nelson all his Estate
both reall and personall (that he shall take into his hands and possession) peaceably and quietly
when ever the Same shall be Legally required &a


Nathaniel Morris
    bound to
James Longo
Nathaniel Morris an orphan and son of George Morris late of Somerset
County dec.d is bound out by the Court here of his Own Consent according to act
of assembly in such Case provided an apprentice unto James Longo of the Same
County untill he arrives at the age of twenty one Years he being fifteen Years
of age in October next the said Nathaniel Morris to serve his said Master the full term of time afd
during which term the said Nathaniel Morris his said Master well and faithfully shall serve his secrets
Keep his Commandments Lawfully and honestly every where willingly he shall do and in all things as a
good and faithfull apprentice shall demean himselfe towards his said Master and all his during the term
aforesaid Inconsideration of which Service the said James Longo present herein Court in his proper
person Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in manner and form following viz.t that he the
said James Longo during the term afd shall and will Learn the said Nathaniel Morris his apprentice to
make Linnen and Woollen Wheles and Chaires and to read well in the bible and to write and at the
expiration of his Servitude give him a new Suit of Cloaths over and above his Common wearing Cloaths &
Likewise provided for his said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing sufficient for
such an apprentice to have and wear during the term aforesaid &a

    Whereupon the said James Longo is ordered to give security for to Comply with the Covenants afd

                   Thereupon the said James Longo with George Dashiell of Somerset County Gent
