15 his security both present here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the said Nathaniel Morris in the sum of tenn pounds Sterling Each of their bodys goods or Chattells Lands or tenements Seperately to be made and Levied for the Use of the said Nathaniel Morris his heires and assignes If it happen that the said James Longo do not during the term afd Learn his said apprentice to make Linnen and wollen Wheles and Chaires and to read well in the bible and to write and at the Expiration of his Servitude do not give him a new Suit of Cloaths over and above his Common Wearing Cloaths and do not provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing mete for such an apprentice to have and wear during the term afd &a
One Years he being six years of age the said Philip Adams the Younger to serve his said Master the full term aforesaid during which term the said Philip Adams the Younger his said Master well and faithfully shall serve his secrets keep his COmmandments Lawfully and honestly every where willingly he shall do and in all things as a good and faithfully apprentice shall demean himselfe towards his said Master and all his during the term aforesaid &.a In Consideration of which Service the said Philip Adams the Elder present herein Court in his proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in manner and form following viz.t that the said Philip Adams the Elder during the term afd shall and will Learn his said apprentice the trade of a Cordwainer and to read well in the Bible and to write and Cypher as far as the rule of three Inclusive and at the Expiration of his Servitude give him a set of Cordwainers tooles and a new Suit of Cloaths over and above his Common wearing Cloaths and Likewise provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing mete for him to have and wear during his Servitude afd &a whereupon the said Philip Adams the Elder is ordered to give Security for the performance of the Covenants afd Thereupon the said Philip Adams the Elder with Thomas Adams of Somerset County Carpenter his Security both present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the said Philip Adams the Younger in ten pounds Sterling Each of their bodys goods or Chattells Lands or tenements seperately to be made and Levied for the Use of the said Philip Adams the Younger his heirs and assignes If it Happen that the said Philip |
