year did acknowledge himselfe to be bound unto the said Isaiah in the afd Ninteen pounds and tenn
pence money af.d to be paid unto the said Isaih when he should be there unto
required yett the said Joseph tho often required the said Ninteen pounds & tenn
pence to the said Isaiah hath not rendred but the same to hetherto
to Render hath deneyed and still doth deny and unjustly detaine the & damage
of the said Isaiah of Fifteen pounds mony af.d and thereupon he brings
suite &a                                                pledges dep Jno Doe & R Roe

    A Copy of the foregoing declaration was made and Sent to be served on the defend.t with
the writt afd      Att which said third tuesday of March to witt the sixteenth day of the same
month ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and thirty five being the day of the return
of the said writt Cometh the said Isaiah Bredall by his attorney afd and the Sheriff of
Somerset County to whom the foregoing writt was directed Likewise came and made return
thereof to the Court here Endorsed in these words following vizt  Cepi Corpus declaration
Served in time p Joseph MccClester sher

    Whereupon the said Joseph Hall in his proper person Came hereinto Court and thereupon
the said Joseph Hall at the prayer of the said Isaiah Bredall is adjudged by the Court
here is adjudged to give Speciall Bail to the action afd   Whereupon a Certain Richard
Hickman and Francis Wharton both of Somerset County planters Came hereinto Court in their
proper persons and undertook and Each of them undertook and assumed upon themselves
(Likewise the said Joseph Hall assumed upon himselfe) that if in Case the said Isaiah Bredall
should recover Judgment in the plea afd against the said Joseph Hall or that the said Joseph
Hall should be therein Convicted that then he the said Joseph Hall shall pay the Judgmt
of the Court thereupon or render his body in Execution of such Judgm.t to the prison of the
sheriff of Somerset County in Satisfaction thereof or that they the said Richard Hickman &
Francis Wharton or Either of them will do the Same for him &a

  And the afd Joseph Hall by George Douglas his attorney Cometh and defendeth the force and
Injury when &a and the same attorney saith that he is not Informed by the same Joseph Hall
his Clyant of any answer for the Same Joseph to the afd Isaiah in the plea afd to be given
and nothing Else thereof Saith by which the Same Isaiah Remaineth against the afd Joseph
thereof undefended
                                      Therefore it is Considered that the afd Isaiah Bredall Recover against
the afd Joseph Hall his debt afd and his damages by occasion of the detention of the Same debt to
