of good Sound Merchantable leaf tobacco and Cask which the same Joshua in the
same Court before the Justices thereof at dividing Creek recovered against him as
of three hundred and sixty three pounds of tobacco which to the same Joshua
in the same Court were adjudged for his damages which he had by Occasion of
the detention of that same debt whereof the same Thomas Fletcher is Convict &.a

       Att which said third Tuesday of November to witt the Eighteenth day of the
same month Ann: Dom: One thousand seven hundred and thirty five being
the day of the return of the said writt cometh the said Joshua Caldwell by George
Douglas his attorney and the Sheriff of Somerset County to witt Joseph M.cClester
Gent at the same day ^likewise^ came and makes return that he had taken the said Thomas
Fletcher and him detained in Custody to satisfie the said Joshua Caldwell his
debt and damages af.d as by the preceipt af.d he was Commanded &.a

    Whereupon the said Sheriff to witt Joseph M.cClester Gent at the same day
altho' Solemnly called brings not in the body of the said Thomas Fletcher
according to the return of his writt aforesaid but makes default &.a

    Command was given to the Sheriff of Somerset County
that he should take William Kitchen late of Somerset County
Marriner if he should be found in his bailywick and him
should safe keep so that he might have his body before the
Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the
third Tuesday of November then next to satisfie William Camplin of Twenty seven
pounds sixteen Shillings Sterling and Eight hundred and sixty three pounds of
tobacco which to the same William ^Camplin^ in the same Court before the Justices thereof at
dividing Creek in the same County were adjudged for his damages which he had by
Occasion of a Certain promise and assumption to the same William ^Camplin^ by the af.d
William Kitchen made and not performed whereof he is Convict &.a

       Att which said third Tuesday of November to witt the Eighteenth day of the
same month Ann: Dom: One thousand seven hundred and thirty five came the
said William Camplin by Robert Jenckins Henry his attorney and the Sheriff of
Somerset County to whom the Foregoeing writt was directed likewise cometh and
maketh return thereof to the Court here Endorsed in these words Following Vizt
Cepi Corpus                P Joseph M.cClester Sher

       Whereupon Came hereinto Court the said William Kitchen in his proper person under Custody
of the Sheriff of Somerset County and being by the said sheriff set to the Barr at the prayer of
the said William Camplin by his attorney aforesaid the said William Kitchen is Committed into the
Custody of the Sheriff of Somerset County thereto remaine untill the afd ^Wm Camplin of the^ sum of Eight hundred and Sixty
three pounds of tob.o part of the damages above Should be fully satisfied &a
the said Sher to Witt Joseph MaClester Gent present herein Court in his proper person took Charge
of the said W.m Kitchen accordingly &a
