Isaac Williams
         petn
    To the worshipfull Justices now in Court sitting the humble petition of Isaac Williams
whereas your petitioner having an negro man that is old and troubled with
       paines and swelling in his Limbs being unable to Labour your petitioner humbly prayeth
       that your worships will pleas to set him tax free and your petitioner as in duty bound shall
       ever pray
                               The petition afd being read and heard and fully understood   wherefore
       it is Considered by the Court here that the afd Isaac Williams be discharged from paying of
       taxes for the afd Negro untill such time as the afd Negro shall be restored to the ability of
       body for the Labouring in such sort as may be thought sufficient for the paying of his taxes &c


Lazarus Maddox
          petn
     To the worshipfull Justices of Somerset County now in Court
sitting the humble petition of Daniel Maddox sheweth whereas
    Your petitioner having a negro man distracted Raving madd and wholly uncapable of
    any services therefore prays Your worships will set him tax free and Your petitioner as
    in duty bound shall ever pray &a

                The petition afd being read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation thereupon
had   wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that the aforesaid Lazarus Maddox be discharged
from paying of Leveys for the afd negro as by the petition afd is praid &a


Upon the mocon of William Goldsborough Gent Clerk of the Indictments for Somerset County  It
is ordered that the Sheriff of Somerset County return a pannell of Grand Jurors here Immediately to
Enquire for his Lordship the right honourable the Lord proprietary and the body of this County of
Somerset afterwards in the Same Court Came the Said Sheriff to witt Joseph McClester Gent and made
return to the Court here of the pannell of the Following Grand Jurors Joshua Caldwell Christopher
Piper John Larrimore Joshua Sturges William Adams Cornelius Dickerson William
Gray Edward Beachamp Richard Nicholson John Kellum John Aydelott John Collins James Houston
Thomas Larrimore John Bevins Hutton Hill & Underwood Renchor   whereupon proclamation
being made in Usual form ^and the Jurors afd so as afd Impannelled being severally Called over by their Names did pay as above^ and thereupon they were sworn and Charged
and sent out to Consider &.a soon after the grand Jurors afd being Impannelled sworn and Charged
as afd return hereinto Court and being Severally Called over appear and return to the Court
here the following Indictments ^against^ Stephen Landkake Mary Grindless Wm Mister abigail Hughs
