Thereupon Command is given to the Sherr of Somerset County that he Should take the afd Sarah Staples Late of Stepney parish if &a to answer &a and afterwards here to witt the twentieth day of Nov.r One thousand Seven hundred and thirty three before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset then held at dividing Creek in and for the County afd Cometh the afd Sarah Staples in her proper person according to a Certain Recognizance by her and her pledges in that part before Confessed and had a hearing of the presentment aforesaid and Says that she is not thereof Guilty and of this she putts herselfe upon the Country and Robert Jenckins Henry Gent Clerk of the Indictments in and for the County afd who for his said Lordship in that part followeth Likewise Whereupon the afd Robert Jenckins Henry who for his said Lordship in that part prosecutes as to the bearing of the ^bastard Child^ in the presentment afd mentioned Confesseth that he will no further prosecute against the aforesaid Sarah Staples &a Therefore it is Considered that the afd Sarah Staples of the bearing of the bastard Child in the presentment afd be quiet and goe thereof without day &a whereupon the said Sarah Staples is ordered by the Court here to give Security for the payment of the Severall Officers their Fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd thereupon Francis Porter of Somerset County planter present here in Court undertakes for the Said Sarah Staples for to paying the Severall Officers their fees due upon the premisses afd &a Catherine Carr appears according to her Recognizance for her appearance at this Court to give Evidence on behalfe of his Lordship against Sarah Staples &a
third tuesday of March then next to give Evidence on behalfe of his Lordship against the afd Stephen Winwright &a Whereupon the said Mary Townsend with William Ennis of Somerset County planter her Security both present here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his said Lordship the right honrble the Lord propritary in the Sum of ten pounds Sterling Each of their goods and Chattells Lands and tenements Seperately to be made and Levied to the Use of the said Lord proprietary his heirs and Successors to be made and Levied if it Happen that the afd Mary Townsend do not make her personall appearance before the Justices of his said Lordships County Court of Somerset then to |
