1733 81 they were Sworn and Charged and Sent Out to Consider &a Soon after the Grand Jurors aforesaid being Impanelled sworn and Charged as afd return here into Court and being Severally Called over appear and return the following presentments against Barbara English, Mary Maguire, Stephen Winwright Eliza Townsend Rachell Russell, Comfort Inloss and Comfort Townsend thereupon the Grand Jurors aforesaid are discharged and ordered that they be allowed five hundred pounds of tobacco for their publick Service this Court and against the afd Barbara English, Mary Maguire, Stephen Winwright Elizabeth Townsend and Rachel Russell Comfort Indloss and Comfort Townsend it is ordered that Capias Issue Returnable to next Court &a
Thereupon Command was given to the sher of Somerset County that he should take the said Mary Glaster if &a to answer &a and afterwards to witt the twentieth day of November anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty three Came here into Court the afd Mary Glaster in her proper person and being Instantly demanded how she would acquitt herselfe of the premisses afd above upon her Imposed says that of the premisses afd above upon her Imposed she is Guilty thereof and makes Oaths that John Pooll of Dorchester County is the begetter of the Child she stands presented for but for as much as it doth appear to the Court here that the afd fact afd was not Committed within the Jurisdiction of this Court but within the Jurisdiction of Dorchester County Court &a Therefore it is Considered by the Court here that the afd Mary Glaster of the presentment afd be quiet and go thereof without day &a Thereupon it is ordered by the Court here that the afd Mary Glaster Give recognizance and security for her appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Dorchester to be held at the Town of Cambridge the Second tuesday of march next to answer unto his Lordship of and Concerning her Committing of Fornication within the Jurisdiction of that Court &a Whereupon the Said Mary Glaster with a Certain Samuel Melson of Somerset County planter her Security both present here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves to be Indebted unto his Lordship the Right honrble the Lord proprietary of the province of Maryland &a in the Sum of tenn pounds Sterling each of their Severall goods and Chattells Lands and tenements to the use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors to be Made and Levied if it happen that the afd Mary Glaster do not make her personall appearance before the Justices of his said Lordships County Court of Dorchester ^to be held^ at the Town of Cambridge the Second tuesday of March Next and |
