       Imposed by Occasion of the trespass and assault afd whereof in form afd he is Convict fifty pounds of tob.o

 It is ordered by the Court here that Catherine Carr wife of John Carr Give Security for her

appearance at November Court Next to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of the
                         Same month to give Evidence at Suit of his Lordship against Sarah Staples &a
       Whereupon a Certain Joshua Caldwell of Somerset County Gentleman present here in Court in his proper
person undertakes for the Said Catherine Carr and acknowledged himselfe Indebted unto his Lordship
the Lord proprietary in the Sum of five pounds Sterling good and Lawfull mony of England of his goods
and Chattells Lands and tenements for the Use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors to be made and
Levied   If it Happen that the afd Catherine Carr do not make her personall appearance before the
Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of
November Next and do not then and there give Such Evidence as she shall know against the said
Sarah Staples at suit his Lordship and do depart the Same Court without Leave thereof then &a

ann.o Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty three Came herein Court before
    Jenckins Henry Gent who for the Right honrble the Lord proprietary in this part prosecutes and Gives
    the Court here to Understand and be Informed that Mary Townsend late of Somerset County
    Spinster the Twentyeth day of June Anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty two
    at Somerset County within the Jurrisdiction of this Court did Commit fornication and had
    born of her Body a Bastard Child against the peace of the Right Honourable the Lord prop.ry
    of this Province his good Rule and Government and also against the form of the Act of
    Assembly in Such Case made and provided whereof the said Rob.t Jenkins Henry
    prays Advisement of the court in the promises and y.t due process of Law ag.t the
    said Mary Townsend may Issue
                                                      Thereupon Command was Given to the Sher of Som.rst
    County that he should take the said Mary Townsend if &a to Answer &a and afterwards
    to Witt this Twenty first day of August Anno Dom one thousand Seven hundred and
    thirty three Came here into Court the said Mary Townsend in her proper person before the
    Justices of the Same Court and had a hearing of the Information afs.d and being Instantly
    demand'd how she would Acquitt her Self of the premisses afs.d says that of the premises
    afores.d says that of the premises afores.d she is Glilty thereof and makes oath that
    a Certain Stephen Winright is the begetter of the Child as she stands Inform'd ag.st and is
    willing to pay her fine for the fact aforesaid &a
