                           The Jurors for the Right Honrble the Lord proprietary of the provinces
of Maryland &a for the body of Somerset County upon their Oath do present that Edmund
                Dickerson Sen.r Late of Somerset County planter the first day of June in the Year of Our Lord One thousand
Seven hundred and thirty three with force and armes &.a at the County of Somerset afd within the Jurisdiction
of this Court in and upon a Certain Hannah Dickerson in the peace of God and the afd Lord prory then and there
being an assault did make and her the said Hannah then and there did Beat wound and Evilly Intreat so
that of her Life it was Greatly despaired and Other Enormitys to her the said Hannah then and there
did Offer to the Greivous damage of her the said Hannah and against the peace of the Right Honrble the
Lord Proprietary of this province his good Rule and Government &a
Test   Daniel Townsend, John Sheldon and Hannah Dickerson

       On the backside of the foregoeing bill of Indictment it was thus Endorsed in these words following vizt
Billa Vera Jam.s Rownd Foreman

          Thereupon Command was given to the sher of Somerset County that he Should take the said Edmond Dickerson
if &.a to answer &.a and afterwards to witt the Twenty first day of August anno Dom One thousand Seven
hundred and thirty three before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset at dividing Creek
in the County afd Judicially Sitting Came the said Edmond Dickerson in his proper person and had a hearing
of the Indictment afd and being thereof Instantly demanded how he would acquitt himselfe of the
premisses afd above upon him Imposed says that of the premisses afd above by the Indictm.t afd upon
him Imposed he is not Guilty thereof and of this he puts himselfe upon the Country and Robert
Jenckins Henry Gent who for his said Lordship in that part follows Likewise &a

                Thereupon it is Commanded the sherr of Somerset County that Immediately he should Cause
to Come here before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset in Court Judicially Sitting at
dividing Creek Twelve &a by whom &a and who neither &a to Recognize &a because as well &a and Afterwards
Immediately Came thereof the Jury &a and the Jurors of that Same Jury by Joshua Caldwell Gent
Sheriffe of the County afd to this Impannelled being Called Came to witt David Polk Moses Alexander
Robert Mitchell, William Mills, Thomas Perkins, John Fleming, Cannon Winright Daniel Cordery, Adam
Spence Jun.r Joshua Sturges John White pocomoke Joseph Wyatt who to Say the truth of the premisses
being Elected tryed and Sworn upon their Oath did Say that the afd Edmond Dickerson is Guilty of
the trespass and assault afd as by the Indictment afd above upon him Imposed &.a

          Whereupon all and Singular the premisses by the Court here seen heard and fully understood

          It is Considered by the Court here that the afd Edmond Dickerson pay unto his Lordship the Lord
proprietary for his fine here upon him Imposed by occasion of the trespass and assault afd whereof in
