Negro woman named Moll of the price of thirty five pounds Like money and One Girle named Rose of the price of thirty five pounds Currant Money of Maryland which from him he unlawfully detaines &.c And whereupon the Same Tunstall Hack by John Caldwell his next friend who is admitted by the Court here to prosecute for him he being an Infant under the age of Twenty One Years Saith that whereas he the said Tunstall the tenth day of October One thousand Seven hundred and thirty One at Somerset County within the Jurisdiction of this Court was possessed of one negro man named Scipio of the price of forty pounds Currant money of Maryland One Negro woman Named Moll of the price of thirty five pounds Like money and one negro Girles Called Rose of the price of thirty five pounds Currant money of Maryland as his proper slaves and so thereof being possessed the said Tunstall afterwards to witt the Same day and year afd the afd three Slaves out of his hands and possession Causually Lost which said three Slaves afterwards to witt the Same day and Year afd at the County afd within the Jurisdiction afd to the hands and possession of the afd William by finding Came and in his hands and possession yet are by which action hath accrewed to the Same Tunstall to have & Require of the afd William the Same Slaves afd Yett the afd William tho often thereto required hath not delivered the afd Slaves or any of them but the said William the said Slaves hitherto to deliver hath denyed and Still doth deny whereby the same Tunstall says he is worse and hath damage to the value of One hundred pounds Currant money and thereof he brings this suit &.a Jn.o Caldwell P Quer And the afd William Wye by William Beckingham his attorney Comes and defends the force and Injury when &.a and prays Leave thereof to Imparle here untill next Court and he hath it and the Same day is given the afd John Caldwell next friend of the afd Tunstall here also &a Att |
