1733 (37) Somerset County 8ber 14.th 1732 The Deposition of Patrick Mathews aged about fifty six years Deposeth on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God that about Twenty five years agoe he was told by James Furnis DD that on a point of Land near the Beaver Dams being the Westermost End of the Now Dwelling Plantation of Stephen ODear Senr the had marked a Tree as ye Corner Tree for there stood a Stump of his the said Furnisses originall Corner Tree of that Land and further this Deponant saith not Danl Maddux Nicholas Fountain John Warters Somerset County 8ber ye 14.th 1732 The Deposition of James Strawbridge aged about fifty two years on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God Deposeth That about thirty years past he saw a Marked Red Oak standing on a point of Land Near the Beaver Dam's being the Westermost End of Stephen ODears now Dwelling plantation on which point is now a Marked Tree this Deponant sayth that about the time afsd he was told by his father John Strawbridge that the said Marked Red oak was a Corner Tree of a Tract of Land Called Amity belonging to Alexander Draper of this County DD and also a Corner Tree of the Land belonging to Randall Revell of this County DD and further saith not Taken before us Dan.l Maddux Nicholas Fountain John Warters Somerset ss Stephen Odear Aged 60 years or there abouts Came on the 14.th Day of Octob.r Anno Dom 1732 on a Certain Tract of Land Caled AMity Belonging to William Furnis of the Coty aforesaid before us the Subscribers Commison.rs appointed to Examine Evidences in Relation to the Bounders of the above said Tract of Land and Deposeth on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God that about thirty years past on a ^Certain^ point of Land Lying on the Beaver Dam which Point of Land is a point of Land on the Westermost End of the Now Dwelling plantation of the abovesd Stephen ODear senr where there now is a Marked Red Oak that within six foot of the said Markt oak their stood a Marked Red Oak then and that he was told by John Strawbridge late of Somerset County DD was the Corner Tree of the said Tract of Land Caled Amity which said Land then Did belong to Mr Alexander Draper late of this Co.ty DD and further the Depotent saith that he was Informed by sundry People that the abovesaid Tree was the Corner Tree y.t Divided ye above said Tract of Land Caled Amity and a Certain Tract of Land Belonging to Mr Randall Revill late of this Coty DD Called Duble Purchase and further this Deponant saith not Danl Maddux Nich.o Fountain John Warters
