                        Alexander Draper late of Somerset County Mercht was
Attached to Answer unto Joshua Caldwell of a plea of Trespass upon
the Case &c
       And Whereupon the same Joshua by Levin Gale his Attorney Complains
       that Whereas the aforesaid Alexander the Tenth day of May on seventeen
       hundred and thirty one at Somerset County within the Jurr of this Court was
       Indebted unto the same Joshua in the sum of three pounds seven shills Curr
       Mony of Maryland for the Like sum at his Especiall Instance and Request
       before that time paid and so thereof being indebted the said Alexander in
       Consideration thereof upon himself the day and Year aforesaid at the County
       afs.d and within the aforesaid Jurr assumed and to the said Joshua then and
       there faithfully did promise that he the said Alexander when afterwards he
       should be thereto Requested the aforesaid sum of three pounds Seven shillings
       Currt Mony to the same Joshua would well and faithfully Content and pay Nevertheless
       the said Alexander his promise and assumption afores.d in form afs.d made
       Little Regarding but plotting and fraudulently Intending him the said Joshua
       in that part Craftilly and Subtilly to Defraud and Deceive the aforesaid sum
       of three pounds seven shillings unto the said Joshua hath not Contented or paid
       or him for it in anywise Contented altho the same Alexander the same to Do
       afterwards to witt the same Day and Year aforesaid at the County aforesaid and
       within the aforesaid Jurr was requested but the same Alexander the same to
       Do hath hitherto Refused and still doth Refuse whereby the same Joshua
       says he is worse and hath Damage to the Value of Seven pounds Curr
       Mony and thereof he brings this suite &c      pledges dep   Jno Doe

       And the aforesd Alexander Draper by Francis Allen his attorney
       Comes and Defends the force and Injury when &c and prays Leave
       thereof to Imparle here untill next Court and he hath it and the same
       day is Given to the said Joshua here also &c
                                                                        Att which said Next Court to witt
       the fifteenth Day of August Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and
       thirty two Came again as well the aforesaid Joshua Caldwell as the aforesaid
       Alexander Draper by their attorneys aforesaid and thereupon the said
       Allexander prays further Leave thereof to Imparle here untill Next Cor.t
       and he hath it and the same Day is Given to the aforesaid Joshua
