(268) pounds one Shillings and four pence halfe penny unto the same Edward when he should be afterwards thereunto requested he would well and faithfully pay and content and altho' the said John Nine pounds Eighteen Shillings and three pence halfe penny Curr.t money to the said Edward he paid and Satisfied Yet as to Fifteen pounds three Shillings and one penny residue of the aforesaid twenty Five pounds One Shilling and Four pence halfe penny the said John his promise and assumption so as aforesaid made nothing regarding but plotting and fraudulently intending the said Edward in that part craftily & subtilly to deceive and defraud the said fifteen pounds three Shillings and one penny to the same Edward hath not paid or Contented altho' the said John on the Twentieth day of February in the year aforesaid and often afterwards at the County af.d and within the Jurisdiction aforesaid was thereunto requested by him the said Edward but the same to the said Edward to pay hath refused and still doth refuse and deny wherefore the said Edward saith he is the worse and hath damage to the value of twenty pounds Curr.t Money af.d and thereupon he bringeth suit &.a Pledges &.a John Doe & R.d Roe
