(254) by Occasion of the premisses on the Indictment af.d Thereupon a Certain Mitchell Dashiell of Somerset County Gent present herein Court under takes for the said Frances Johnson to pay the Severall Officers their Fees due on the Indictment as af.d &.a Whereupon the said Francis Johnson is ordered to give Security for to save and keep harmless as well the Justices of Somerset County Court and their Successors for the time being as also the Inhabitants of the said County of and from all Costs Charges and troubles whatsoever for or by reason of the birth maintainance nourishing and bringing up of the bastard Child af.d &.a Thereupon a Certain Cannan Winwright and John Murrow of Somerset County planters present herein Court undertook for the said Frances Johnson and Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord Proprietary in twenty pounds Sterling Each of their goods and Chattles Lands or tenements to the use of the Justices of the County af.d and their Successors for the time being Joyntly and Severally to be made and Levied If it happen that the said Frances Johnson her heirs Executors Administrators or any of them do not from time to time and at all times hereafter acquitt discharge and Save harmless as well the Justices of the County af.d and their Successors for the time being as also the Inhabitants of said County of and from all Costs Charges and troubles whatsoever by reason of the birth maintainance Nourishing and bringing up of the aforesaid Bastard Child and of and from all other suits Charges troubles and demands whatsoever touching or Concerning y.e same &.a
force and arms &.a at the Parish af.d in the County af.d within the Jurisdiction of this Court one unmarked Hog of the Value of one hundred pounds of Tobacco then and there being above three months old and not on the land of the af.d Michael Dorman then being and then and there not being in Company with the Stock of the said Michael Dorman of the goods and Chattles of a person to the Jurors af.d unknown then and there being found then and there feloniously did kill contrary to the peace of the said Lord Proprietary that now is his good Rule and Government and against the form of the act of assembly in such Case lately made and provided &.a Test James Alexander, Wm Dorman On the backside of the foregoing bill of Indictment it was Endorsed as Followeth Viz.t Ignoramus Rob.t Jones Foreman and |
