253 to witt the Eighteenth day of March Ann Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty four before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset now here held at dividing Creek in the same County Came the said Jacob Messick in his proper person according to a Certain Recognizance by him and his Securitys before that time acknowledged and had a hearing of the Indictment af.d and thereupon he is Instantly demanded how he would acquitt himself of the premisses af.d so as af.d above upon him Imposed; says that he is guilty thereof and is willing to pay his fine for the fact af.d &a Whereupon all and Singular the premises by the Court here seen heard and fully understood It is Considered by the Court here that the said Jacob Messick pay unto his Lordship the Lord propry for his fine by the Court hereupon him Imposed for and by Occasion of the premisses af.d whereof in form af.d he is Convict thirty Shillings Currant money for the use of the County af.d and that the said Jacob Messick be taken to satisfie his said Lordship of the fine af.d &a whereupon the said Jacob Messick is Ordered to give Security for the payment of the Severall Officers Fees due by Occasion of the premisses on the Indictment aforesaid Thereupon a Certain Joseph McClester of Somerset County Gent present herein Court undertakes for the Said Jacob Messick for to pay the severall Officers their Fees due on the Indictment as afd &a Whereupon the said Jacob Messick is Ordered to give security for to save and keep harmless as well the Justices of Somerset County Court and their Successors for the time being as also the Inhabitants of the said County of and from all Costs Charges and troubles whatsoever for or by reason of the birth maintainance nourishing and bringing up of the Bastard Child af.d &a Thereupon the said Jacob Messick with Joseph McClester his security both present here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary in twenty pounds Sterling Each of their goods or Chattells Lands or tenements to the Use of the Justices of the County afd and their Successors for time being Joyntly & Severally to be made and Levied If it Happen that the said Jacob Messick his heirs Executors or administrators or any of them do not from time to time & at all times hereafter acquitt discharge and save harmless as well the Justices of the county afd and their successors for the time being as also the Inhabitants of said County of and from all Costs Charges and troubles whatsoever for or by reason of the Birth maintainance nourishing and |
