252 march anno Dom One thousand seven hundred and thirty four before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset now here held at dividing Creek ^in^ the County afd Came the afd Frances Williams in her proper person and had a hearing of the Indictment afd and being Instantly demanded how she would acquitt her selfe of the premisses afd above by the Indictment aforesaid upon her Imposed says that she is Guilty thereof and is willing to pay her fine for the fact afd &a Whereupon all and singular the premisses by the Court here seen heard and fully understood It is Considered by the Court here that the aforesaid Frances Williams pay unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary for her fine by the Court hereupon her Imposed for and by accasion of the premisses afd whereof in form afd she is Convict six hundred pounds of tob.o for the Use of the County afd and that the Said Frances Williams be taken into Custody of the Sheriff of Somerset County untill his said of the fine afd should be satisfied and Likewise the said Frances Williams is Ordered to five security for the payment of the severall officers fees due upon the Indictment afd but for want thereof the said Francis Williams is Committed into the Custody of the Sheriff of Somerset County there to remain untill the said Officers of their Fees afd should be fully satisfied &a Whereupon the Said Sheriff to witt Joseph Gent by Littleton Townsend his deputy present took Charge of the said Frances Williams accordingly &a
thousand seven hundred and thirty four before the Justices of his said Lordships County Court of Somerset now here held at dividing Creek in the same County Came the said John White in his proper person and thereupon the said John White is Ordered to give Recognizance in twenty pounds sterling for his appearance before the Justices of his Lordship County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of June then next to answer the Information afd &a Whereupon the said John White present here in Court in his proper person as afd and acknowledged himselfe Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary in the sum of twenty pounds sterling good and Lawfull money of England of his Goods and Chattells Lands and tenements to the use of his said Lordship the Lord proprietary his heirs and Successors to be made and Levied If it happen that the afd John White do not make his personall appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of June next and do not answer unto his Lordship of and Concerning a Certain Information Exhibitted against his Excessive Usury and do not stand and abide the Judgmt of the Court thereupon and do |
