with four Notches on four sides near where a Gum did stand he this deponant
by order of the s.d Commissioners did take the Test of M.r Levin Denwood (he
being one of y.e people called quakers) to y.e said Gum (y.e Remains of which was
then lying on the Ground) the s.d Denwood did declare that for near fifty
years or thereabouts before that time he heard that tree accounted a division
between his brother Boseman and his brother Woolford; and that he had often
heard his brother Boseman say he held no land to the Eastward of that tree
and his brother Woolford say he held no land to the Westward of y.e same tree
this deponant further sayeth that the land Commissioners ordered the same
Hickory to be notched with one other notch on Each of the four sides this
deponant further sayeth that y.e s.d Hickory stands near the midle of
the Marish between Lukes point and y.e house of John Boseman & almost
Opposite to y.e house of Randall Revill and this deponant further sayeth

The Depositions of George Horner aged fifty years
 or there abouts taken upon a tract of land lying in Somerset County
called Mor an casit the fourth day of January Annoq Domini Seventeen
hundred and thirty four before William Stoughton John Elzey & William
M.cClemmy by Vertue of a Commission Issued out of Somerset County
Court bearing date the twenty seventh day of November Annoq Dom
Seventeen hundred & thirty four to Examine wittnesses to prove & perpetuate
the boundary's of the afores.d land which s.d George Horner being
sworn on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God deposeth and sayeth
that about twenty one years ago he heard M.r John Boseman deceased
tell M.r Levin Woolford that he had waited for his Brother Roger Woolford
Seven years to survey his land and that he could not get him to do
it so that he was obliged to survey it himself this deponant further
declareth that the s.d M.r John Boseman with M.r William Whittington
Surveyor of Somerset County together with this deponant & severall
other persons went (the same day he had the afores.d comunication
with the s.d Woolford) to a Creek called Goose Creek and there asked the
