(249) (near to which y.e afore described Hickory now stands) and set a Course by the north star and Came a Cross the bowes of y.e s.d tree which the said Woolford complained of all which he declares to be Just & true to the best of his knowledge and rememberance and further saith not {George Bosman Sworn to before us on ye land called mor an casit at a Hickory this 4.th of January 1734 Willm Stoughton The deposition of John Boseman aged fifty John Elzey four years or there abouts taken before us Commissioners Wm McClemmy appointed to Examine Evidences to prove and perpetuate y.e bounds of a tract of land called Moran casit this 4.th of January 1734 This Deponant being sworn on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God sayeth that when the land Commissioners were proveing the bounds of a tract of land belonging to Coll Roger Woolford late of Dorchester County laying In Monocan River he heard M.r Levin Denwood (being one of y.e people called Quakers) examined by the said Commissioners who affirmed that a Gum which was decayed and the top fallen of (near to which a Hickory now stands notched with five notches on four sides bearing south four degrees East to y.e house of M.r Randall Revill on the south side of Monocan River and south eighty three degrees west to y.e house of Mrs Sarah Elzey and distance from the Marish side twelve poles) was the divisionall bounder between the lands of the s.d Roger Woolford and John Boseman deceased this deponant further sayeth that his father John Boseman told him this deponant that he might have no regard to the s.d Gum for it would neither be a benefitt nor a disadvantage to him all which he declares to be Just and true to the best of his knowledge & rememberance & further sayeth not John Bozman Sworn to before us on the land called mor an casit at a Hickory this fourth day of January 1734 Willm Stoughton The Deposition of George Dashiell aged forty John Elzey four years or there abouts taken before us Commissioners W.m M.cClemmy appointed to Examine Evidences to prove & perpetuate the bounds of a tract of land called mor an casit this fourth day of January Annoq Domini 1734 This deponant being Sworn on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God sayeth that about fifteen years ago he was Clark to the land Commissioners of Somerset County and the s.d Commissioners being carried to a Hickory marked (with |
