side of y.e s.d River and is distance from the edge of a Marsh side twelve
poles) has been known to him this deponant to be the second bounder of a
tract of land Called Morancasit ever since he can well remember being
informed of the same by his father John Boseman deceased and by M.r
Roger Woolford late of Somerset County the first taker up of a tract of
land called Woolford adjoyning to the s.d land called morancasit and the said
deponant further declareth that Coll Roger Woolford late of Dorchester
County deceased informed him this deponant that the above described
Hickory which stands in the room of the decayed Gum was the second
bounder of the s.d land called Morancasit and was the divisionall bounder
between the Grandfather of this deponant and the father of him the s.d
Woolford and that the s.d Coll Roger Woolford desired him this deponant
to Joyn with with him in a warrant of Resurvey which he declyned not being
willing to put himself to the Cost thereof all which he declares to be
Just and true according to the best of knowledge and rememberance and

The Deposition of George Boseman Sen.r aged
fifty two years or there abouts taken before us
Commiss.rs appointed to Examine evidences to prove
and perpetuate the bounds of a tract of land called
morancasit this 4.th of January 1734
This deponant being Sworn on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God
God sayeth that a Gum which stood near a hickory which is now marked
with five Notches on four sides (and bears south four degrees East
to the house of M.r Randall Revill on y.e south side of Monocan River
and South eighty three degrees west to y.e house of M.rs Sarah Elzey
on the north side of y.e s.d River and distance from y.e Marish side
twelve poles) was when he was a lad well known to him and that the
s.d Gum was then marked this deponant further saith that he heard his
brother John Boseman when he was building his house tell his father
that M.r Roger Woolford late of Somerset County complained he had
fell a red Oake on his Land and that his father sayed if you will go
to the Gum and Steer a Course north by the North star you will find
whether it be on M.r Woolfords land or mine and accordingly he
this deponant went with his Brother John Boseman to ye s.d Gum
