is making or Clearing for the said John Perkins and they to direct the Clearing of the same and to make

To the worshipfull the Justices of Somerset County now in Court setting the petition of
John Evans humbly Sheweth        That whereas there is a publick road which leads
from Wickacomoco ferry to Nanticoke point by your petitioners plantation very much to the detriment
of your petitioner therefore your petitioner humbly prays that the said road may be altered and made
less prejudicial to your petitioner as it will be full as near and good for travellers to pass as now
it is and your petitioner as in duty bound shall ever pray &a

       The petition aforesaid being Read and heard and fully understood   Wherefore it is Considered that the afd
John Evans turn the Road according to the direction of James Dashiell and Day Scott of Somerset County Gent and that
they make their report to march Court next and that the old road be Left open untill the new road Confirmed &a


    Upon the petition of John Evans for his negro woman to be tax free &a  It is ordered by the Court here
that the afd John Evans be discharged from paying of taxes for the afd negro woman as by the petition afd is praid
&a

Leah Holland
Leah Holland an orphan and daughter of               Holland Late of Somerset County dec.d
having arrived at full age for the Chosing of her guardian Came hereinto Court in her proper person
and prays that she may be admitted for to Chose a certain Joseph Merrill of Somerset
                   County planter her Guardian which is to her granted &a   thereupon the said Leah Holland present here
in Court makes Choice of the said Joseph Merrill accordingly &a   Whereupon it is Ordered by the Court here that
the afd Joseph Merrill take into his Care and Custody all the Estate personall of the said Leah Holland and that
Nehemiah Holland the person who hath the Estate of the said Leah in possession deliver the Same unto ye
afd Guardian &a   and further it is Ordered by the Court here that the afd Joseph Merrill Give Security for to
Comply with the Guardianship afd &a

                Whereupon the said Joseph Merrill with Benjamin Holland both of Somerset County planters present
here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the said Leah Holland in forty
pounds sterlling good & Lawfull money of England of their Severall goods and Chattells Lands or tenements to the
Use of the said Leah Holland her heirs or assignes to be made and Levied   If it Happen that the said Joseph
Merrill do not Comply with the Law in relation to Such Guardianships as afd and do not deliver up unto the
said Leah Holland all her Estate personall that she he shall have In his hands and possession peaceably &
quietly when Ever the Same shall be Legally required &a

William Heath son of William Heath late of somerset County dec.d is bound by the Court of his own
Consent unto Thomas Gillis of Somerset County untill he arrives at the age of Twenty One Years he
being thirteen Years of age the tenth day of June Last the said William Heath to serve his said Master
