                The petition afd being read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation
thereupon had   wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that the aforesaid Thomas
Newbold have Liberty of Setting up of ^hanging^ gates in the afd road as by the petition afd is praid &a

    Sampson Wheatley appointed Constable of Annamessex hundred for the Ensuing Year &a

Ephraim Waggaman appointed Constable of Mattapony hundred in stead of Richard Sturges for the
Ensuing Year &a                    Joseph Miller Constable of Baltemore Hundred for the Ensuing Year

Elgate Hitch appointed Constable of Wickacomoco hundred in stead of Timothy Atkinson for the
ensuing Year &a
                                  Henry Jerman Constable of Boquetennorton hundred for the Ensuing

                      Woney Macclemmey appointed Constable of Manocan Hundred for the Ensuing

       Dick a negro boy of Thomas Benston of Nanticoke is adjudged by the Court to the
       age of twelve years this term &a

To the worshipfull his Lordships Justices of Somerset County
                                                now in Court sitting

The humble petition of John Perkins most humbly sheweth That your petitioner
and his father before him has had a good Cart road Cleared upon their Own Costs and Charge from their
petitioner down to the Landing by Thomas Newbold it being all the way that they Can Cart Tobacco
Pork and Plank or any other sort of Commodities to the merchants or others and Thomas
Newbold is about to fence in our Road and turn us along a branch side that has so many
Valleys and hills that it is Impossable to Cart up and down and your petitioner prays your
worship that we may have our Cart road Left out of his fence or that we may have gates or
or barrs that we may Carry our Labour down the river and your petitioner as in duty bound shall
ever pray &a                                                                                                   Jno Perkins
