predidishall to him as it now goes he therefore prays that he may have the Liberty of turning of it to
the other side of his plantation it being full as nigh and the Road as good or rather better and as in duty

turne the Road as by the petition afd is praid so that the same Road be turned and made agreeable to the pet.n

                                       To the Worshipfull Justices of Somerset County now setting the
petition of your humble petitioner humbly sheweth that Whereas your petitioner having
                   an negro Lad about Sixteen Years old who has been troubled with fitts ever since he was
five Years old and by an accident in one of his fitts fell into the fire and has burnt both his hands so that
he has Lost severall of his fingers and there by is disabled so that he is unable of doing your petitioner
any or butt Little service your petitioner therefore humbly prays that he may be releast from paying
taxes for ye said negro and your petitioner as in duty bound shall ever pray      David Johnson

             The petition afd being read and heard and fully understood wherefore it is Considered that the
afd David Johnson be discharged for the future from paying of taxes for afd Negro as by the
petition afd is praid &a


    Whereas Maj.r George Dashiell hath a negro man named Tom thats ancient and Infirm &a
             whereupon at the prayer of the said George Dashiell he is discharged from paying of
taxes for the said negro as afd is praid &a


    Whereas Christopher Piper has a negro woman named dido thats ailing and unwell &.a  Whereupon
at the prayer of the said Christopher piper he is discharged from paying of taxes for the afd negro
untill please God to restore her to her health thats she is able to Labour againe &a


Whereas Coll Robert King has angro man named Toby thats Ancient and Infirm and past his Labour
&a   Wherefore at the prayer of the said Robert King he is discharged from paying of taxes for
the afd negro Toby as afd is praid &a

    To the Worshipfull his Lordships Justices of Somerset County now in
Court Sitting The petition of Thomas Newbold most humbly sheweth that your
petitioner is possest with a parcell of Land on pocomoke River thorow which the County Road
runns it being very prejudiciall to your petitioner Causes him humbly to pray that your
worship will be pleased to allow your petitioner liberty of setting up hanging gates in the
