Somerset sst November Court
1734 Att a Court of the Right Honrble Charles absolute Lord and Proprietary of the provinces of Maryland and avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &a held at dividing Creek in the Same County the third tuesday of November to witt the ninteenth day of the same month and in the twentieth Year of his said Lordships dominion &a anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and thirty four by his said Lordships Justices the peace in the Same County to keep assigned of who were present
Proclamation being made in Usuall form and the sherriff of Somerset County to witt Joseph MccClester Gentleman made return of the pannell of Grand Jurors as followeth viz.t Thomas Humphrys Thomas Dixon William Turpin John Shockley Henry Windsor Philip King John Cheesman Francis Lank Capell King John Davis Joseph Gray John Atkinson Robert Mitchell Samuel Adams John Beavins Abraham Cordery Charles Roach Archibald Deal &a James Mumford whereupon proclation being made againe in Usuall form and the Jurors afd so as afd Impannelled being severally Called Over by their Names did appear as above and thereupon they were sworn and Charges and sent Out to Consider &a soon after the grand Jurors afd being Impannelled sworn and Charged as afd Return hereinto Court and being Severally Called Over did appear and returned the following Indictments against Sarah Riggin Rebecca Collins Eliz.a Johnson Francis Williams and presentments against John White, John Roberts and William Walton Junr thereupon the Grand Jurors afd are discharged and allowed five hundred pounds of tobacco for their publick Service this Court and against the afd Sarah Riggin Rebecca Collins Eliza Johnson Francis Williams John White, John Roberts and William Walton Jun.r so as afd Indicted and presented it is ordered that Capias Issue returnable to March Court next &a Jester a negro boy of John Gilletts Jun.r is adjudged by the Court to be of the age of Eight Years this term &a
