That Whereas the publick road that leads from Ceader Neck up the said river doth goe through a tract of my land to the great hurt damage and discommoding a plantation whereof I pray an order of your worships to turn about a quarter of a mile of the said Road in Length and about three hundred yards distance in breadth from where the road now is which I humbly pray your worships reliefe by allowing of the same and I shall in duty ever pray David Hazzard The petition afd being read and heard and fully understood Wherefore it is Considered that the afd David Hazzard ^turn the road^ according to the direction of Capt John Smith and George West the Overseer of the Same road if they think it proper that the road be turned and if not that then the same road remaine unalterable &a The Court Adjourns untill the third Tuesday of November Anno Dom 1734 Somerset County These are to Certifie that on the Twenty Ninth day of July Ann Domini One thousand Seven hundred thirty four Joseph M.cClester was Quallified as high Sheriff of the County afores.d by taking the Severall Oaths appointed to be taken by Act of assembly the Oath ^of a sheriff and subscribing the test and Oath^ of Abjuration att which time above mentioned was Quallified also Edmond Hough William Nutter Francis Porter and John Stewart by taking the Severall Oaths appointed by Act of assembly the Oaths of Deputy Sheriffs and subscribing the test and Oath of Abjuration all which is Certified by RKing 1731 Will.m Stoughton |
