the sixth day of July which was in the year of our Lord God Seventeen hundred and thirty four at somerset County afd by his certain writing obligatory had granted himself to be bound unto the afd Edward in the afd sum of sixty six pounds sterling money of great Brittain to be paid unto the same Edward when thereof he should afterwards he should be required Nevertheless the afd George altho often required the afd sixty six pounds sterling unto the afd Edward hath not paid but that unto him hitherto to pay altogether hath refused and still doth refuse to the damage of the same Edward Ninety Nine pounds Sterling and thereupon he bringeth suit &.a and doth bring hereinto Court the writing obligatory afd which the debt afd in form afd doth testifie the date whereof is the same day & year afd &.c pledges &.c John Doe & Roe And the afd George West by William Goldsborough his attorney Comes and defends the force and Injury when &.c and says that he Cannot Gainsay the Action afd of the afd Edward Chambers nor Can he say but that the writing obligatory afd os the deed of the same George nor but that he owes the same Edward Chambers the afd the afd sixty six pounds sterling money of great Brittain in Manner and form as the afd Edward Chambers above against him hath declared wherefore the said Edward prays Judgm.t for his debt afd and his damages sustained by occasion of the detaining of that same debt to him to be adjudged &.c Therefore it is Considered that the afd Edward Chambers Recover against the afd George West his debt afd and his damages by Occasion of the detaining of the same debt to Two hundred & Ninty Nine 299 pounds of tobacco to the same Edward of his assent by the Court here adjudged and the aforesaid George in mercy &.c
