191 Lord proprietary in the sum of twenty pounds sterling each of their goods and Chattells Lands and tenements to the Use of Somerset County to be Severally made and Levied if it Happen that the afd Thomas Larrimore Jun.r do not from time to time and at all times here after acquitted discharged and save harmless as well the Justices of Somerset County Court and their Successors for the time being as also the Inhabitants of the Same County of and from all Costs Charges troubles and burthens Whatsoever for & by reason of the birth maintainance nourishing and bringing up of the afd Children and from all Suites troubles Charges and demands whatsoever touching or Concerning of the same &a Alice Hopkins appears according to her Recognizance Entered into to give Evidence against Thomas Larrimore Jun.r & is discharged therefrom &a Aaron Lynn appears according to his Recognizance for good behaviour and is discharged therefrom &a
Lord proprietary his Justices of the same ^County^ Court and for the same Lord proprietary doth give the same Justices hereto understand and be informed that Henry Barrett late of Somerset parish in the County af.d planter the third Day of July in the year of Our Lord God Seventeen hundred thirty and four af.d at the parish af.d in the County ^afd^ within the Jurisdiction of this Court in and upon a Certain Charity Cashady of the same County spinster in the peace of God and of the same Lord proprietary then and there being with force and arms an Assault did make and the same Charity then and there did beat wound and evilly treat so that of her life it was greatly dispaired and Other harms to her then and there did to the great damage of the same Charity and against the peace of the said Lord proprietary that now is his good rule and Government &a Whereupon the same attorney of the said Lord Proprietary for the same Lord proprietary prayeth the advise of the Court herein the premisses and that due process of Law in this part against the af.d Henry may be made to answer unto the Same Lord proprietary of and upon the premisses &a Thereupon Command was Given to the sherriff of Somerset County that he should take the said Henry Barrett if &a to answer &a and afterwards to witt the twentieth day of August Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and thirty four before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of somerset now here held at dividing Creek in the County af.d Came the afd Henry Barrett in his proper person and had a hearing of the information afd and says that of the premisses afd above upon him Imposed he is Guilty thereof and is willing to pay his fine for the fact afd &a It is Considered by the Court here that the afd Henry Barrett pay to his Lordship the Lord proprietary for his fine by the Court here upon him Imposed for and by Occasion of the trespass and assault afd whereof in form afd he is Convict fifty pounds of tobacco and that the same Henry Barrett |
