190 proprietary held for somerset County afd to witt at dividing Creek in the County afd the twentieth day of August in the year of Our Lord God seventeen hundred thirty and four before Robert King Esq.r and his associates the said Lord proprietary his Justices of the same County Court and for the same Lord proprietary doth give the same Justices hereto understand and be informed that Thomas Linsey late of Coventry parish in the County afs.d planter the first day of april in the year of Our Lord God seventeen hundred thirty and four at the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court did committ fornication with a Certain Rachel Broughton and of her body then and there had carnal knowledge and a bastard child on the body of her the same Rachel then and there did beget to the high displeasure of Almighty God to the evil example of all others in such case offending contrary to the peace of the said Lord proprietary that now is his good rule and Government and against the form of the Act of Assembly in such Case lately made and provided &a Whereupon the same attorney of the said Lord proprietary for the same Lord proprietary prayeth the Advise of the Court herein the premisses and that due process of Law in this part against the af.d Thomas Linsey may be made to answer unto the same Lord proprietary of and upon the premisses &a Thereupon Command was given to the sherriff of Somerset County that he should take the said Thomas Linsey if &a to answer &a and afterwards to witt the twentieth day of August anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty four before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset now here held at dividing Creek in the County afd Came the afd Thomas Linsey in his proper person and had a hearing of the Information afd and says that of the premisses afd above upon him Imposed he is Guilty thereof and is willing to pay his fine for the fact afd &a whereupon all and singular the premisses by the Court here seen heard and fully understood It is Considered that the afd Thomas Linsey pay unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary ^for^ his fine by the Court hereupon him Imposed for and by Occasion of the premisses af.d whereof in form af.d he is Convict thirty shillings Currant money for the use of the County af.d and that the same Thomas Linsey be taken to satisfie his said Lordship of the fine af.d &a
