The above actions were Entered agreed on June Court dockett anno Dom 1734 Tryalls
John Horsey in hs Lordships County Court of Somerset before the Justices thereof at dividing Creek were adjudged for his damages which he had by Occasion of a Certain promise and assumption to the Same John Horsey by the afd Henry Smith made and not performed and that same money and tobacco he should have before the Justices of his said Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek in the Coty afd the third tuesday of June then next to Satisfie the said John Horsey of his damages afd whereof he was Convict and that thereof he should not fail &a Att which said third tuesday of June to witt the Eighteenth day of the same month anno Dom one thousand Seven hundred and thirty four Came the said John Horsey in his Own proper person and the sher of Somerset County to whom the foregoeing writt was directed Likewise Came and made return that he had made of the goods and Chattells of the said Henry saith as will appear in a Certain Schedule in these words following viz.t A Shedule of goods attached for the use of John Horsey from Henry Smith One horse to the Value of three pounds five shillings Currant money and One hundred and fifty pounds of tobo Valued by Us the Subscribers Thomas Dixon (seal) Thos Williams Jun.r (seal) W.m Dixon (seal) Samson Wheatley June ye 4.th 1734 (seal) July 6.th 1734 Thomas Boseman his Majesties Searcher and Surveyor of his Maj.ties Customs between the north side of Nanticoke river and the north side of Chester River in the province of Maryland before me the Subscriber One of the Right Honrble the Lord proprietarys Justices of the peace for the County of Somerset in the province afd took the Severall Oaths to the Governmt according to the directions of the acts of Parliament of Great Brittain and this province in that Case made and provided as also the Usual Oath of Office and at the same time he the said Thomas Boseman Signed the Oath of Abjuration and test so Certifies Wm Stoughton The Court adjourns untill the third Tuesday of Aug.t 1734 |
