1734 171 to witt William Handy David Polk Wm Gray, George Benston Moses Alexander Robert Mitchell William Mills Thomas Perkins John Fleming Cannon Winright ^John White^ and Thomas Lambden who to say the truth of the premisses being Elected tryed and Sworn upon their Oath do say that the afd Moses Chaille Jun.r is guilty of the adultery as by the Information afd above upon him Imposed &a And because the Justices Here themselves will advise of and upon the premisses before Judgm.t rendered of and upon the premisses and verdict afd day is given to the parties afd here untill next Court of hearing thereof thir Judgment for that the Same Justices here thereof as yett &a Att which said next Court to witt the twentieth day of November anno Dom One thousand seven hundred and thirty three Came again as well the afd Robert Jenckins Henry who &a as the said Moses Chaille Jun.r by his attorney afd and because the Justices here themselves will further advise of and upon the premisses afd and Verdict afd before Judgment thereof rendered day is further given to the parties afd hereuntill next Court of hearing thereof their Judgment for that the same Justices here thereof as yet &a Att which said next Court to witt the ninteenth day of march anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty three Came again as well the afd Robert Jenckins Henry who &a as the said Moses Chaille Jun.r by his attorney afd and because the Justices here themselves will further advise of and upon the premisses and verdict afd before Judgment thereof rendered day is further given to the parties afd hereuntill next Court of hearing thereof their Judgm.t for that the same Justices here thereof as yett &a Att which said next Court to witt the Eighteenth day of June anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred thirty four Came againe as well the afd Robert Jenckins Henry who &a as the said Moses Chaille Jun.r by his attorney afd and whereupon all and Singular the premisses here being seen heard and fully understood It is Considered by the Court here that the afd Moses Chaille Jun.r pay to his Lordship the Lord proprietary for his fine by the Court hereupon him Imposed by Occasion of the adultery afd whereof in form afd he is Convict three pounds Currant money and that the same Moses Chaille be taken to Satisife of the fine afd &a
his freedom dues as the Law directs from the said Thomas Fletcher he the said Thomas Fletcher not only refuses to pay the same but detaines your petitioner as a servant therefore your petitioner humbly prays your worships will set him at Liberty and give order for his fredom dues to be paid him and he as in duty bound will pray &a thereupon Command was Given to the sherriff of Somerset County that he should Somons the afd Thomas Fletcher so that he might be and appear Immediately here |
