Court the Writing Obligatory afd which the Debt afd in form afd doth Testify the date
whereof is the day & year afd                                       pledges &a     Jno Doe  & Ri Roe

    Whereupon the said Patrick Burk by William Beckingham his Attorney Comes and
Defends the force and Injury when &a and says that he Cannot Gainsay the Action afd of the
afd Peter Stewart nor Can he say but that the Writing Obligatory afd is the Deed of him the
Same Patrick Burk nor but that he owes the same Peter Stewart the afd seven pounds four
shillings and four pence Currant Money in Manner and form as the afd Peter Stewart above
against him hath Declared wherefore the same Peter prays Judgment for his debt afd and his
Damages by Occasion of the detaining of the same Debt to him to be adjudged &a

    Therefore it is Considered that the afd Peter Stewart Recover Against the said Patrick
    Burk his debt afd and his Damages by Occasion of the detaining of the same debt to One hundred
177   seventy seven                                    pounds of Tobacco to the same Peter Stewart of his
    assent by the Court here adjudged and the afd deft in Mercy &a

                                        Then Came before me the Subscriber Dennis Hudson and made Oath upon
the Holy Evangelist of Allmighty God that the above acco.t is Just and true and that he hath received
noe part nor parcell security nor Satisfaction for the Same Excep^t^ing a list of debts

Somerset ss   It being made appear to me John Scott One of his Lordships Justices of Somerset
County afs.d (the peace to keep Assigned) that Samuel Pickering Late of Somerset County Merchant
is Actually Run away & has or is About to Remove his Effects Out of this County to Deceive his
Creditors You are hereby Required to Issue an attachment on behalfe of Dennis Hudson for the
sum as in the Acc.t herewith Sent You Proved with the Incident Cost & Charges according to the
form y.e Act of Assembly in Such Case Latly Made & Provided & for Your so Doing this shall be
