1733 144 Ordered that John Hooffington pay or Cause to be paid Unto Mitchel Dashiel Two hundred and Ten pounds of Tobacco being Due Unto him for his Attendance Seven Days As An Evidence On behalfe of ^the said^ John ^Hoffington^ Against Aaron Lynn he having Made Oath to the same &a Ordered that John Hooffington pay Or Cause to be paid Unto William Young three Hundred pounds of Tobacco being Due Unto him for his attendance Ten Days As An Evidence On behalfe of the said John Hooffington Against Aaron Lynn he having made Oath to the same &a Ordered that John Hoffington pay or Cause to be paid Unto Jonathan Hooffington Ninety pounds of Tobacco being Due Unto him for his attendance for Three Days As An Evidence On behalfe of the Said John Hooffington Against Aaron Lynn he haveing Made Oath to the same &a Ordered that Aaron Lynn pay or Cause to be paid unto Daniel Boyne Ninety pounds of tobacco being due unto him for his attendance three days as an Evidence on behalfe of the said Aaron Lynn against the said John Hooffington he having made Oath to the same &a Thomas Smith appears according to his Recognizance for the good behaviour and is discharged therefrom &a
said Susannah Wordie James Martin and Edmond Hough before John Handy and Charles Rackliff two of his Lordships Justices of the County Court of Somerset on the fifth day of September One thousand seven hundred and thirty three according to act of assembly in such Case made and provided as also twenty two pounds of tobacco additionall Costs and when he had the Same Tobacco or money so made or any part thereof that he should have the Same before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be hale at dividing Creek in the County afd the third tuesday of March then next to satisfie the afd John Caldwell of the money or tobacco afd whereof they are Convict &a and the Same Sherr to Witt Joshua Caldwell Gent on the third tuesday of march to witt the Ninteenth day of the same month One thousand Seven hundred and thirty three made return that he had taken one Negro man of the proper goods and Chattells of the afd Susannah Wordie and James Martin and his had the same Negro appraised according to Law as appears by a schedule hereunto annexed we the appraisers being Somoned and Sworn according to Law have appraised One Negro man named Mars as the goods and Chattells of Susannah Wordie and James Martin to the Value of Six |
