143 the same day and Year the afd George Douglas bail of the afd Dennis Cordogan present here in Court did deliver up unto the afd sher of the County afd for his own Endempnity the afd Dennis Cordogan the said sher to wit ^Jos.a Caldwell Gent^ present herein Court took Charge of ye said Dennis Cordogan accordingly &a
is prevented by his Imprisonment, that your petitioner is ready to deliver up all his Estate to Satisfie his Credittors and hath annexed hereto an acco.t thereof Your petitioner prays to be relieved according to the directions of the act of assembly Entituled an act for the relief of prisoners for debt and your petitioner as in duty bound shall pray Dennis Cordogan The petition afd being read and heard and fully understood and the afd Dennis Cordogan present here in Court presented to the Court here an Inventory of his Estate with a list of his Creditors and Likewise took the second Oath appointed by act of assembly in such Case provided &a Whereupon the said Dennis Cordogan is remanded Back into the Custody of the sheriff of Somerset County thereto remaine &a the said sher to witt Joshua Caldwell Gent present herein Court took Charge of ye said Dennis Cordogan accordingly &a
of Somerset County Inn Holder and Francis Porter of the same place And Acknowledged themselves to be Indebted to Our Said Lord the King In the Sum of Ten Pounds Sterling to be Leveyed upon their and Each of their Lands and Tenements Goods and Chattles to the Use of Our Said Lord the King his his heirs and successors if failure be made of the Under Written Condidition The Condition of this Recognizance is such that whereas the above Bounden John Dennis Junr is by the Justices Within Named Licensed Admitted and Allowed to keep a Comon Drink house In the House where he Now Liveth and in his house at Dividing Creek by the Court House If therefore the Said John Dennis Jn.r Shall Not Dureing the Continuance of the Said Licence Suffer Any Un Lawfull Games to be Used In his said Houses but Shall During the Said Time Maintain Good Order and Rule therein that then this Recognizance to be Void Or Otherwise to Remain In full force & Vertue Taken before Us the Day & Year above Written Jno Smith Thomas Williams
