137 Baltemore &a To the sherriffe of Somerset County Greeting we Command you that you attach any the goods chattells Rights or Creditts of Thomas Boarman Late of Somerset County planter if they Shall be found in your bailywick to the Value of One thousand pounds of tobacco and when you have the Same attached or any part thereof the same in your Custody safe keep so that you have the same before Our Justices of Our County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of march next then and there to be Condemned according to act of assembly to and for the Use of a Certain Charles Ramsey unless the said Thomas Boarman by himselfe or his attorney shall appear and answer unto the said Charles Ramsey in a plea of trespass upon the Case &a according to Law and that by good and Lawfull men of your Bailiwick you make known unto the person or persons in whose hands you make the Same attachment that he she or they be and appear before Our Justices of Our County Court to be held as afd to Shew Cause if any he she or they have why the same Goods Chattells rights or Creditts so attached in his her or their hands ought not to be Condemned and Execution thereof had and made according to act of assembly in such Case made and provided if to him her or them it shall seem mete and how you shall execute this writt that you make known unto Our said Justices at the day and place afd and have you then and there this writt Wittness Robert King Gent Chiefe Justice of our said Court the twenty ninth day of Novem in the Ninteenth Year of our dominion &a one thousand Seven hundred & thirty three Att which said third Tuesday of March to witt the ninteenth day of the same month anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty three being the day of the return of the said Writt Cometh the said Charles Ramsey by Francis Allen his attorney and the sher of Somerset County to whom the foregoing writt was directed Likewise Comes and makes return thereof to the Court here Endorsed in these words following vizt By Vertue of the within Writt to me directed to the Justices of Somerset County I do Certifie that on the fourth day of February One thousand Seven hundred and thirty three I did attach of the goods and Chattells of the within Named Thomas Boarman to the Value of One thousand pounds of tobacco in the hands of William Houston and Peter Beckett and William Jones and I do further ^Certifie^ that before Joshua Merrill and Henry Jerman good and Lawfull men of my Bailywick I have made known unto the afd Wm Houston Peter Beckett and William Jones that they be and appear at the time and place within Contained so answers Josa Caldwell sher Whereupon the afd William Houston Peter Beckett and William Jones Garnishees of the afd Thomas Boarman altho' Solemnly Called Comes and not nor Shews Cause why &a but makes default Whereupon the said Charles Ramsey by his attorney afd prays that you giveing security according to act of assembly in Such Case made and provided the afd Sum of One thousand pounds of tobacco so as afd attached in the hands of the afd William Houston ^Peter^ Beckett and William Jones as of the rights and Creditts of the afd Thomas Boarman may be Condemned in the hands of the said William Houston Peter Beckett and William Jones &a which Thereupon a Certain John Dennis Jun.r of Somerset County planter present herein Court in his proper person undertakes for the said Charles Ramsey that if in Case the said Thomas Boarman do [illegible] a year and a day appears and make all or any part of the said Charles Ramseys Claim against him to be satisfied or Otherwise to be undue before the Laying of the attachment afd that then he the said Charles |
