be paid nothing for his Labour afd and that he the said Hooffington should Receive
his pay for the same out of the shingles that should be saved if any & no otherwise
be pretixt whereof the afd Aaron Lynn spoke of the said John Hooffington the
Words afd in the Declaration afd Mentioned Viz.t (you) speaking to & Meaning
the said John (are a Damn'd perjured Villain) the said John still meaning (& If
himself the said Aaron Meaning (will prove it at any time) himself the said Aaron
again Meaning (& will) himself the said Aaron again meaning (have your Ears off)
the Ears of the said John Meaning (& I) himself the said Aaron Again meaning
(will prosecute) himself the said Aaron again Meaning (you for perjury) the said
John Again Meaning as it was Lawfull for him to say and this he is ready to Doe
Whereupon he prays Judgement if the said John Hooffington his Accon thereof ag.t
him to have and Maintain Ought &a Geo Douglas pro Defdr

And the afd John protesting that the plea afd and the Matter in the same Contained
are Altogether Insufficient in Law and that he thereto hath no Need or by the Law
of the Land is in any sort held to Answer for Replication nevertheless the Same John
saith that he by any thing by the afd Aaron above by pleading Alledged from haveing
his Action afd against the afd Aaron to be precluded Ought not because he Saith
that the afd Aaron at the time afd in Declaration afd mentioned to witt on the twelth
Day of February in the Year of Our Lord Seventeen hundred and thirty Two at Somrset
County afd of his Own proper Wrong and without any Such Cause as by the afd Aaron
by pleading is above alledged Did Speak utter and in the hearing of Divers liege Subjects
of the said Lord the King Did with a Loud Voice pronounce these following Words
to witt (you) speaking to and Meaning the said John are a Damned perjured Villian
the said John still meaning and have Taken a false Oath and are forsworn (the said
John Still Meaning) and I (himself the said Aaron Again Meaning) will prosecute (himself
the said Aaron Again Meaning) you for perjury (the said John again meaning in Manner
and form as the afd John above against him Declared and this he prays may ^be^ Enquired by
the Countrey   and the afd defend.t Likewise

          Thereupon it is Commanded the sherriffe of Somerset County that Immediately he should Cause
to Come here before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset Now in Court Sitting at
dividing Creek in the County afd twelve &a by whom &a and who neither &a to recognize &a because
as well &a and afterwards ^Immediately^ Came thereof the Jury &a and the Jurors of that Same Jury by Joshua
