John White
     Petition
     To the Worshipfull his Lordships Justices of Somerset County Court the Humble petition
of John White at the point humbly sheweth that your petitioner is possessed of Eight hundred
acres of Land Called Buckingham Lying on the seaboard side in Somerset County Containing One thousand
five hundred acres some of the bounders of which are much decayed   Your petition therefore prays your worships
to appoint Commissioners to Examine Evidences in order to perpetuate the said Bounds and as in duty
bound he shall pray &a
                                              The petition aforesaid being Read and heard and fully understood and mature
deliberation thereupon had   Wherefore it is Considered that a Commission Issue to the afd John White as by
the petition afd is praid and that Charles Rackliffe James Rownd, John Donelson and William Simpson
of Somerset County Gent be Commissioners and Execute the same Commission according to act of assembly in such
case made and provided &a

       Ordered that William Stoughton of Somerset County Gent agree with some person or persons for the
keeping and maintaining of a Cerain Ann Jones a poor aged woman that's fallen to decay and to make his
Report at next Court November Court &a


Lewis Jones

     To worshipfull his Lordships Justices of Somerset County in Court Sitting the humble pet.n
of Lewis Jones of Somerset parish in the County aforesaid sheweth that your petitioner hath a negro
woman named Hannah who by Reason of her great age is past her Labour the said Negro being about fifty
Years in this Country and when Imported as your petitioner hath been Informed was a full grown woman
and as she says had three Children before she Left her native Country besides she is so full of paines that
she is a very Great Burden to your petitioner your worships Considering the great trouble she at present
is to and Likely to be more Burdensome to your petitioner by reason of her great age humbly prays
that she for the future may be set Tax Free and your petitioner as in duty bound will pray

                         The petition afd being read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation
thereupon wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that the afd Lewis Jones be for the future
discharged of and from paying of Taxes for the afd Negro woman Called Hannah &a    as by the
petition afd is praid &a
