116 Court Did Commit Fornication with a Certain Thomas Larimore Jun.r and Did permit the same Thomas Larimore then and there to have Carnal Knowledge of her body and to beget then and there a Bastard Child on the body of her the same Alice Hopkins to the high Displeasure of Almighty God to the Evil Example of all others in Such Case offending Contrary to the Peace of the said Lord Proprietary that now is his good rule and Government and against the Form of the Act of Assembly in such Case lately made and provided &a On the backside of the foregoing bill of Indictment it was Endorsed in these words vizt Billa Vera Saml Wilson foreman Thereupon Command was given to the sher of Somerset County that he should take the said Alice Hopkins if &a to answer &a and afterwards to witt the ninteenth day of march anno Dom One thousand seven hundred and thirty three before the Justices of his Lordships the Lord proprietarys County Court of Somerset now held at dividing Creek in and for the County afd Came the afd Alice Hopkins in her proper person and being by the sherriffe Led to the Barr is Thereupon Instantly demanded how she would acquitt herselfe of the premisses afd above upon her Imposed says that of the premisses afd above upon her Imposed she is Guilty thereof and is willing to pay her fine for the fact afd whereupon all and Singular the premisses by the Court here seen heard and fully understood It is Considered by the Court that the said Alice Hopkins pay to his Lordship the Lord proprietary Six hundred pounds of tobacco (for the use of Somerset County) for her fine for and by occasion of the premisses afd whereof in form afd she is Convict and that the Same Alice Hopkins be taken to Satisfie his said Lordship of the fine afd whereupon it is Ordered by the Court that the said Alice Hopkins give security for the payment of the fine afd and the Severall Officers their Fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd thereupon William Porter of Nanwattux in Somerset County planter present herein Court in his proper person undertook for the said Alice Hopkins for to pay the fine and the Severall Officers Fees due as afd &a Likewise the said Alice Hopkins is ordered to give Security for ^her^ appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of June Next to give Evidence on behalfe of his said Lordship against Thomas Larirmore Jun.r Whereupon the said Alice Hopkins with the afd William Porter her Security both present herein Court in their proper persons and acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord Proprietary in the sum of ten pounds Sterling Each of good and Lawfull money of England of their severall goods and Chattells Lands and tenements to be made and Levied to the Use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors If it Happen that the said Alice Hopkins do not make her personall appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek in the same County the third tuesday of June next and do not then and there give ^such^ Evidence as she knows against Tho.s Larrimore Jun.r of and Concerning his begetting of a bastard Child on the body of her the said Alice Hopkins and do depart theme without Leave of the Court &a
