Edward Clark
View of his Land
Whereas we the Subscribers John Rickards and John Tingle were nominated and appointed
by One of his Lorships Justices of the peace for this County of Somerset to view and Inspect
the Condition of a Certain plantation Lying on ceader ^neck^ Creek on the Indian River being the Supposed
Right of Edward Clark son of Edward Clark Late of this County dec.d whereupon the Said viewers
on the twenty fifth day of march in this present Year 1730 did meet on the aforesaid plantation and
after due Inspection made we find the premisses as followeth there is one dwelling Lodged house
twenty foot in Length and fifteen foot in breadth tollerable Good and also One Lodged house fifteen
feet in Length and twelve in breadth in danger of Falling to the Ground and as for Orchards we find
but 20 apple trees and two peach trees on the Said plantation and as for Inclosures about the
Cultivated Land we find 360 pannells of fence ion Good Order as also Sixty pannells of Fence
about pasturage some what broken and as for Clearing of Ground or Cutting of timber we allow
noe more than what may be necessary for for the plantation use and building and all these premisses
Considered wee cannot think the Annuel Value of the Said plantation Can be worth more than twenty
Shillings P annum and this we Return as the Just and true estimate made and Inspected by us the
aforesaid viewers in presence of John Tull now Guardian to the abovesaid Edward Clark having first
taken Our Oaths before John Smith the above named Justice of the peace Given under our hands &

Martha and Mary Woollford
     Petition
            To the worshipfull Justices of the peace for Somerset County in Court
            Judicially Sitting the petition of Martha and Mary Woollford of the
                                  Same County Humbly Sheweth
                                                                                           That your petitioners are possessed of ^two tracts or^ percells of
    Land Lying on manocan River in the County afd ^one Called Happy addition the other Lins Improvement^ which was devised by Roger Woollford dec.d to your
petitioners father Levin Woiollford the bounders whereof are decayed and the wittnesses to prove them
Ancient and Infirm your Petitioners therefore Humbly prays your worships will
be pleased to Issue Commission to such Persons as you shall think proper to
Examine Wittnesses According to forme of the act of assembly In that case
made and provided to perpetuate the boundarys thereof and your petitioner
as In Duty bound Shall Ever pray                                                             Matthew Wollford

                         Wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that the petition afd be Granted as prayd and that Thomas
Dashiell, George Dashiell, Thomas Brown and Robert Jones all of Somerset County Gent be Commissioners and execute
the Same Commission according to act of assembly in Such Case made and provided &c


A road for Richard Wallis
and Others
By somerset County Court March 16.th day 1730
Ordered that John Elzey, Robert Jones, Philip Covington and
Thomas Laws all of somerset County Gent.m Lay Out and Settle
    a road through Edward Robert plantation at Dam Quarter March for Rich.d
Wallis and others the Inhabitants that hath occasion to make use of the said
road &.c
