84 Guilty thereof and makes Oath that a Certain Thomas Cuningham is the father of the Child She Stands presented for but hath nothing to pay her fine for the fact afd &.c Wherefore it is Considered that the afd Sarah Jackson be whipt with fifteen Lashes well Laid on untill the blood appear and that she be taken &.c thereupon as to the Corporall punishm.t afd command is Given to the Sher of Somerset County that he do thereof Immediate Execution by whiping of the afd Sarah Jackson att the publick whiping post with fifteen Lashes on the bare Back well Laid on until the blood appear and afterwards in the Same Court Came the Said Sher and makes Return that he had done the Execution of the Judgmt afd as to the Corporall punishment aforesaid he was Commanded &.c whereupon its Ordered that the Said Sarah Jackson Return into her misters Service and that he deliver her up to the County Court of Somerset or Sher of the Same County at the Expiration of her Servitude to reemburst to the County afd the Severall Officers fees due by Occasion of the premisses aforesaid &c Samuel Riggin appears according to his Recognizance Entered into for his Good behaviour at this Court and is discharged &c John Riggin Jun.r appears according to his Recognizance entered into for his Good behaviour and is discharged &c William Pilsher appears according to his Recognizance entered into Last Court for his Good behaviour and appearance at this Court and at the prayer of the aforesaid William Pilsher (none appearing to the Contrary) was discharged by Proclamation in Common form &c
for their appearances at next August Court to Give Evidence against the afd Eliz.a Chambers on Suspicion of Felony &c Whereupon the Said William Cobb, Daniel Cobb and John Linch all present herein Court acknowledged themselves Seperately Indebted unto his Lordship the Right honrble the Lord proprietary in the Sum of five pounds ster Each of their Goods and Chattells Lands and tenements Seperately to be made and Levied for the Use of his Said Lordship the Lord proprietary his heirs and Successors if default be made in the Condition hereunder written &c The Condition of the above Recognizance is Such that if the above bounden William Cobb, Daniel Conner and John Linch do and Shall make their personall appearance before the Justices of His Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of August next and then and there Give Such Evidence as they Know against Elizabeth Chambers of and Concerning a Certain Suspicion of felony and do not depart the Same Court without Lycence thereof then the above Recognizance to be void and of none effect otherwise &c
County thereto Remain &.c afterwards at the prayer of the Said James Shirly the Said Robert Bevill is discharged from ye Commitment aforesaid and is ordered to Give Security for his fees &.c thereupon a Certain James Shirley present herein Court undertakes for to pay the Severall Officers their fees due by means of the premisses afd &c |
